Job Summary
This is a professional highly technical non supervisory position that supports the food ingredients program unit team within USPs Global Science and Standards Division. The incumbent will support the development and technical stewardship of Food Chemicals Codex standards other scientific products outreach awareness in India US and internationally.The Sr Scientist I/II has the following responsibilities: Provide scientific expertise to USPs Foods PUT with a focus on identifying developing and supporting food standards and other fit for purpose solutions Perform critical evaluation of technical data related to food quality and purity including working closely with internal external laboratories on analytical method development validation data analysis Works with USP staff the USP Food Ingredient Expert Committee subcommittees Expert panels external stakeholders as related to Food Ingredient monograph RS development Supports in the preparation of data packages briefing materials to present to the FI EC Expert bodies manages projects appropriately ensures impeccable work product delivery Fosters collaboration communication with other USP program units departments Keeps abreast of global trends developments in related scientific fields shares learnings with managers colleagues Communicates effectively with stakeholders from industry academia scientific organizations regulatory agencies Assists guides Expert Committees related expert bodies supports FCC standard Program products Performs other related duties as assigned
