    JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Ensure that all the appropriate G/L journals are entered and reversed accurately and in a timely manner each month
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations for assigned natural accounts and legal entities in accordance with monthly close timetable and ensure all relevant accruals and prepayments are posted on a monthly basis
  • Ensure that the Fixed Assets module is updated for additions, disposals, transfers and retirements and reconciled to the G/L including ensuring the appropriate and relevant depreciation journals are posted on a monthly basis
  • Assist the AP and AR teams with intercompany recharges. Ensure that all intercompany transactions are recorded in all relevant legal entities within the same period
  • Perform and manage payroll process including liaising with outsourced provider on new employees and leavers, changes in benefits and allowances etc and ensure compliance with tax and PF of Sea Staff
  • Cash flow forecasting of anticipated payments and receipts and perform the bank and balance sheet account reconciliation at least monthly
  • Identify and process all intercompany transactions and reconcile intercompany balance sheet accounts. Coordinate with other team members globally on intercompany transactions and issue resolution as necessary
  • Produce monthly, quarterly & year end financial and statutory reports to ensure reporting deadlines are met for Group requirements
  • Manage annual external audit visit to ensure smooth year end sign off for Group and Complete the Income Tax and Service Tax returns as required by local legislation for assigned legal entities
  • Liaise with outsourced accounting firm in providing all the information related to monthly financials transaction with all supportive documents for completing the month end closing timely
  • Co-ordinating with Legal Department and third party to ensure the legal compliances of the companies
  • Any other adhoc projects and administrative support as and when may be required by the Finance team from time to time
  • KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Degree in Accountancy or professional qualifications ACCA / CPA / ICAEW and its equivalent
  • International Financial Reporting Standards
  • Accounting Software SAP, Dynamics
  • M.S. Office, advanced excel
  • Sharp analytical mind and attention to detail is essential
  • Able to prioritize and meet tight deadlines
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience in shipping/marine industry is an added advantage
