- 7 years of hands-on experience in Chef and migrating applications in Linux environment
- Experience in identifying applications and their dependencies running on the existing Linux systems.
- Experience in identifying interdependencies between applications and their configuration requirements.
- Experience in developing Chef cookbooks to define the desired state of the target Linux systems.
- Experience in defining environments (e.g., development, testing, production) as per customer ecosystem.
- Develop Chef recipes to manage the configuration of Linux systems and applications.
- Experience in leveraging testing of Chef cookbooks (Test Kitchen and InSpec)
- Experience in packaging applications and dependencies into distributable formats such as RPM, DEB, or torballs.
- Implement security best practices and compliance requirements in chef recipes.
- Should have strong knowledge of Shell scripting languages.
- Document the migration process, including Chef recipes, environment configurations, and deployment procedures.
- Strong work experience in Chef and experience in chef migration applications in Linux environment.
- Expertise in Chef cookbooks & Chef Recipes.
- Devops Engineer who well versed in Infra.
