    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Designation: Executive Assistant & Business Analyst to Business Head.

    Location: Kilpauk, Chennai.

    Reports to: Business Head.

    Role Overview

    The EA& BA to the Business Head will function as a strategic business analyst and trusted advisor, providing high-impact support across business verticals. This role is not administrative, but focused on data-driven decision support, business performance analysis, project execution oversight, and preparation of board-level insights. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the steel and manufacturing industry, financial acumen, and the ability to distil complex business information into actionable insights.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Business Analysis & Strategy Support
    • Prepare business reviews, dashboards, and performance trackers for the Business Head
    • Conduct market, competitor, and internal benchmarking analysis
    • Identify strategic and operational risks and provide recommendations
    • Drive analysis on new business opportunities, M&A, expansion, and diversification
    • Financial and Operational Insights
    • Partner with finance and operations teams to track KPIs, EBITDA drivers, cost structures, and margin analysis
    • Analyze sales, procurement, plant efficiency, and logistics data
    • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and board reporting processes
    • Project Management Office (PMO)
    • Track progress of strategic initiatives driven by the Business Head
    • Ensure interdepartmental alignment for critical projects
    • Drive follow-ups and ensure timely execution on Business Head's directives
    • Decision Support & Presentation
    • Prepare business cases, investment decks, and board presentations
    • Summarize complex reports into executive summaries for quick decision-making
    • Assist in preparing communication material for investors, government, and key stakeholders
    • Stakeholder & Meeting Management
    • Attend key internal and external meetings alongside the Business Head , capturing action points and ensuring execution
    • Liaise with CXOs, plant heads, and external partners on behalf of the Business Head
    • Represent Business Head's office in strategic discussions as required

    Required Qualification & Skills

    • MBA from a Tier-1 Institute (IIM, ISB, XLRI, or equivalent)
    • Engineering background (preferably in Mechanical/Metallurgy/Production) is a strong plus
    • Work Experience: 4–8 years of experience in a EA & Business Analyst / Strategy / Consulting role
    • Prior experience in steel, metals, manufacturing, or infrastructure industries preferred
    • Exposure to C-Suite stakeholder management and board-level reporting

    Skills & Competencies

    • AI skills – Chat GPT, etc.
    • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
    • Executive-level communication (written and verbal).
    • High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI/Tableau.
    • Strategic thinker with deep business intuition.
    • Strong ownership, discretion, and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
