    Description

    cKinetics is looking for an energetic Associate who is passionate about the carbon market & energy transition space and looking to be a part of the team that does meaningful cutting-edge work.

    We are a team focused on the growing sustainability space, compliance carbon markets, and voluntary markets worldwide. We have been enhancing our capabilities and developing new products across teams to assist companies with their market intelligence requirements. Our team seeks individuals passionate about sustainability and carbon products, eager to build, drive, and take ownership. We are hiring for a carbon markets team, looking for candidates with prior domain knowledge. Ideally, candidates should have prior exposure to the energy transition, low carbon solutions, carbon markets, biofuels, clean fuels, cap-and-trade, emission trading, carbon offsets or any adjacent interests.

    Purpose of the position

    The Analyst/ Associate role involves assessing and evaluating research elements to produce required Outputs for client deliveries. Deliverables include creative presentations/narratives backed by market analysis, data insights and modelling.

    The candidate must: (i) develop an understanding of different drivers and constraints impacting specific market within the carbon markets (ii) undertake primary and secondary research and present findings in aligned structures and formats (iii) meet internal delivery timelines diligently (iv) work cohesively and contribute positively to team environment (v) learn and hone skillsets that are essential to delivering tasks with the requisite quality.

    Key responsibilities

    Project Operations delivery support

    ·

    Provide

    operational support by timely completion of allocated tasks that align with the

    internal delivery quality standards

    ·

    Responsible

    for developing and maintaining detailed

    datasets/documentation/communication/dashboards and records aligned with the

    internal quality requirements

    ·

    Work

    cohesively with the team on various tasks allocated towards project/research

    delivery

    Data Research - Primary & Secondary

    ·

    Conduct

    research and deep dives, using various research methodology

    ·

    Develop clean

    and usable datasets of appropriate quality and detailing through data mining

    from various credible sources

    Time Management

    ·

    Strict

    adherence to the given task completion timelines with requisite quality,

    delivering using internal project and time management tools

    Project delivery

    · Creating impactful written and oral presentations – Produce reports containing data insights, trends, patterns, etc. derived from structured/ unstructured data analysis.

    · Collaborating with the project/ internal teams – Work with Senior Associates/ SEMs/ EMs to develop cohesive solutions for client projects/ problems/ programs/ product.

    · Providing delivery support for on-demand consulting projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery and with requisite client delight.

    Project Monitoring and Time Management

    · Adhering to task completion timelines by self-monitoring and aligning with Analysts for successful project completion.

    · Utilizing internal/ company project management/ time management tools/ software in day-to-day work to record time utilization for respective projects.

    Candidate Requirements

    The ideal candidate must have the desire to work in Sustainability transition interventions and must have the following mindset and skills sets:

    · Proactive, independent individual passionate about sustainability.

    · Flexible & creative mindset; adept at understanding diverse markets and client organizations.

    · Problem-solver with a drive to take ownership.

    · Strong analytical abilities and excellent presentation skills.

    · Proficient in financial modelling with experience of developing spreadsheet-based models, with a plus for econometrics modelling.

    · Can multitask in dynamic environments.

    · Up-to date with global events, with interest in energy & environmental sciences.

    · Passionate about presenting & discussing research findings to high-level audiences and industry experts.

    Academic qualifications & Experience

    · MBA/ Master's degree in relevant field/ and a desire to work in the Sustainability space.

    · Must have relevant 2-6 years of experience in consulting in a related field: carbon markets, cap-and-trade, emission trading systems, clean fuel programs, biofuels, oil & gas, energy transition, sustainability and low carbon transition sector, renewable energy.
