Title: Lead Network Engineer

Location: Bengaluru

Working Type: Hybrid

Lead Engineers are responsible for implementing, monitoring and managing the local and wide area networks of an organisation.It also comprise of improving the efficiency of current networks and increase the network performance through monitoring and troubleshooting. The role also includes documenting, follow the process for changes, installation of new network and upgrade of network if necessary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Lead engineer, your roles include:

Implement new solutions and improve stability and resiliency of the network.

Monitor performance and troubleshoot and fix network problems by scheduling desired solutions.

Use multiple tools used by organizations to improve the efficiency and performance of the network.

Study the current bandwidth utilization and suggest required solutions for site performance.

Upgrade network equipment by refreshing the devices or by performing software upgrades.

Configure routers and switches, firewalls, Load Balancers and Meraki devices.

Participate in technical discussions and workout for new solutions along with team members.

Engage in troubleshooting calls and support the team and users to resolve the issue.

Take part in projects along with engineering and assist in supporting and providing implementation plans.

As day-to-day operations required to work on incidents and changes.

Speak to customers via phone or email to work towards fixing the network problems.

Knowledge and Skills

Detailed technical experience in installation, configuration and operation of Cisco Router and Switches.

Should possess hands-on experience and troubleshooting skills on Nexus 7K,5K,2K and in depth

Knowledge of VPC, Fabricpath,OTV etc...

Expertise knowledge on routing protocols like BGP,OSPF and EIGRP

Implementation and troubleshooting experience in Cisco & Velocloud SD-WAN are required.

Good working experience on Multicast.

Detailed technical experience in the installation, configuration and operation of Palo-Alto firewall products.

Excellent configuring & troubleshooting skills on Zscalers (ZIA & ZPA).

Good Design, Implementation knowledge and excellent troubleshooting skills on Netscaler Load Balancer.

Should have worked on wireless technologies.

Experience on Cisco Meraki setup, installation and troubleshooting are required.

Knowledge on Ironport & Proof-Point are added advantages.

Education, Experience and Certification Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree

10+ Years of network relevant experience

Preferred certifications CCNP, CCIE(R&S/DC),PCNSE.

ITIL certified preferred.
