Freight Analyst - Chennai, India - ESAB

Description

The freight analyst is responsible for providing support to global and regional supply chain managers and logistics leaders in the monthly analysis and forecasting of freight and logistics costs. This position will work closely with regional leaders in the supply chain team to improve visibility, analysis, and quotes around logistics costs and escalation needs related to freight. The position will need to improve processes and create standard work that allows the business to quickly ascertain issues and make good decisions going forward.

Location: Chennai - Ambattur

Shift: Night Shift

Experience Requirements

• Experience working with logistics teams

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a freight operations role

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a freight pricing role

• Mobility & Travel Requirements

• Ability to travel up to 10% as needed

Responsibilities

Support global leaders in reporting and data analysis to help drive business decisions.

• Support site controllers to make sure we have in place the best solution for freight that positively affects the P&L impact of freight costs

• Work with the product management team to provide logistics data and analysis to help gain share and win customer opportunities.

• Assist in analyzing results and providing insight on performance and trends for the regional teams to drive improvements.

• Collect and analyze relevant internal and external data to identify opportunities for cost reductions and efficiencies to drive improvements
