    Role Summary

  • Plan and direct EHS programs designed to promote safety, train employees, verify program implementation and evaluate effectiveness. Such programs shall include fire and life safety, chemical safety, hazardous materials management, hygiene, accident and injury prevention, environmental, compliance, emergency response, risk management and loss control.
  • To Develop/Educate on safety awareness through continuous programs/campaigns for employees and contractual employees.
  • Drive EHS Framework at the site.
  • To Eliminate the risk of occupational injuries and illnesses, and risk of property losses by the use of recognized loss prevention and control techniques.
  • To Directs and ensures the adequate investigation, reporting, and analysis of accidents/major incidents to prevent recurrence. Review all major/minor incidents along with the concerned department head and ensure appropriate corrective / preventive action
  • To establish and ensure compliance with state and central statutory requirements and industry standards.
  • To Review and conduct emergency response and spill response exercises.
  • To Monitor/Review periodic employee health check-up activities as per annual plan.
  • To manage processes and documentation as per IMS requirements.
  • Essential Responsibilities / Expectations

  • This role will be responsible for providing EHS support to the Veolia Hoskote Facility (including Tech Centre) as an EHS Lead. Responsible for developing, implementing and improving EHS strategies, implementation of all necessary EHS programs, Drive EHS campaigns, EHS procedure writing, policies and procedures.
  • Develop best in class incident management and emergency response plans at the site.
  • To Achieve Zero fatalities through effective implementation of IMS systems, processes, robust procedures, and reducing risk in daily duties across the Site.
  • Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree (Chemical Engineering preferred).
  • Industrial diploma from RLI/CLI/Karnataka state board approved course in Industrial Safety
  • A minimum 10-12 years of experience in a Chemical processing plant or relevant.
  • Key Skills required (must haves – certifications/ know-how)

  • Preferred to be Chemical Engineer )
  • Industrial Diploma from RLI/CLI/Karnataka State approved course in industrial safety.
