As Director of CXL FirmwareEngineering we lead development of highperformancecontroller firmware for innovative volatile and nonvolatile memorysystems. We lead develop and mentor some of the most outstandingpeople in their field We assist in evaluating crafting buildingbench testing debugging and failure analyzing firmware for newhighperformance memory controllers and Solid State Drives that willincrease performance while reducing power latency and SoC (Systemon Chip) complexity for the target markets. We work closely withfirmware engineers firmware test engineers ASIC design engineerssystem test engineers systems failure analysis engineers productengineers firmware tools developers to solve multifunctionalproduct development issues. Your responsibilities will includebut are not limited to the following:
Lead CXLDDR firmware Architecture design development and validationactivities
Demonstrate proficiency in codingskills failure analysis and the use of tools that support theseactivities
Validate customer requirements andperform failure analysis on FW related issues
Develop structured source code targeting the embedded environmentassociated with state of the art memory
Performdesign verification using a variety of verification methodsincluding simulation and product testing
Focuson firmware quality in the system and the targetapplication
Participate in SCRUM/Agileprocesses and distributed code reviews
Developnew test tools and methods
Follow specificprocesses/procedures/work flows
Demonstrate theeffective analysis of functional or performance issues with testenvironments or target host systems
Technicalcommunications will be required between other teams and thefirmware team (both verbal and written)
Youwill review contribute to and build clear documentation for workthat must meet both internal specifications/standards and SSDindustry standards and specifications
Successfulcandidate for this position will have:
10 years demonstrated ability with storage Firmware development anddebug using protocol analyzer
5 Years of knowledge or working experience withNand flash/DDR and Interface protocols like CXL PCIeNVMe
Solid understanding of firmwaredevelopment verification system failure analysis embedded systemsdesign and real time embedded systems
Strongsolutions focused skills including the ability to find creativesolutions to difficult problems
Solidunderstanding of software engineering principles and crafting anddeveloping firmware using assembly and C/Cprogramming
Strong debugging skillsin an embedded firmware application including:
Using development tools and IDEs such as Slick Edit SourcePoint andRealview
Problem recreation trapping loggingand diagnostics
Experience with digitalhardware design and test equipment such as InCircuit Emulators(ICE) and logic/bus analyzers
Strong experienceanalyzing sophisticated firmware and hardware issues
Solid understanding working identifying and optimizingperformance of critical algorithms
Solid understanding of ARM/ARC Microprocessors with experience onARC or ARM Cortex
Knowledge of theAgile software development process life cycle
Solid understanding of structured firmware development process andlife cycle
Strong skills in presentingsophisticated technical ideas/concepts
Abilityto work in a fastpaced environment and communicate effectively(written and verbal) across multiple locations and teams
Education: BS or MS in Computer EngineeringComputer Science or ElectricalEngineering
