    Description
    The Data Delivery Engineer develops data reports and
    extracts from various data management systems to
    facilitate the running of successful clinical trials. The Data
    Delivery Engineer is responsible for ensuring the flow of
    data is continuous and properly integrated with the
    systems by creating custom software components and
    writing queries to meet client specifications on reporting
    and visualization requirements

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Programming
    Must have a basic understanding;
    1. Recommend design approaches and reporting options to allow for successful clinical trials
    2. Write complex custom solutions that optimize the flow of data from various internal
    systems
    Must have a common knowledge or an understanding of basic techniques and concepts;
    1. Project Ownership - attends all study meetings, perform spec reviews, provide feedback
    to internal teams, research and assess complexity of deliverables to see what is
    attainable (from simple to complex solutions), provide consultation
    2. Integrations - configure integrations with external systems
    3. Develop and design custom reports
    4. Develop and design custom reports that integrate with other systems
    5. Write simple custom solutions that optimize the flow of data from various internal
    systems
    6. Schedule and scope own projects
    7. Investigates technical support issues as the last line of defense to resolve technical
    problems in delivery and/or production
    8. Performs Code review

    12. Manages schedule through smartsheets to ensure tasks are completed on time
    13. Documents all work through Release Notes
    14. Unit Tests all releases to Staging, UAT, Prod to ensure reports have been properly
    released
    15. Troubleshoot report issues and address defects

    Efficiency / Productivity: Tracking, Improvement and Development
    Must have a basic understanding;
    1. Understands and contributes towards the improvement of Project development delivery metric goals for productivity, cost, delivery and quality
    2. Participate in training both within and across other departments to ensure understanding of study development challenges and the can and cannot
    3. Understands and embraces the regulatory requirements of the business with respect to documentation in order to contribute towards TMS documentation

    Must have a common knowledge or an understanding of basic techniques and concepts;
    1. Identifies causes of and possible solutions to inefficiencies that slow down the delivery process

    7. Develop internal Strategic initiatives that allow both ERT and the Data Delivery team to run at peak efficiency
    8. Organizationally aware and skilled: must be able to effect results by manoeuvring through appropriate formal and informal organization channels

    Demonstrated ability to successfully complete tasks in this competency as requested;
    1. Competently prioritizes tasks and manages own workload to meet deadlines with minimal supervision

    2. Provides SME advice to clients related to integrations, reporting, transferring, and database design strategies

    1. Collaborate with Project Management and Validation Verification to ensure high quality integration, alerts and reports are tested and delivered

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED:

    Education:
    ● BA/BS in a related field

    Experience:
    ● 1-3 years minimum technical experience
    ● Ability to understand and develop SQL / Oracle Stored Procedures, Views and Functions; MS SQL server experience preferred
    ● Advanced technical SQL experience including ability to develop optimized stored procedures, views, functions and tables
    ● Ability to read and develop in XML, XSLT, CSS and JavaScript
    ● Experience using and programming in Python is preferred
    ● Experience with clinical trial industry data standards such as Oracle Clinical, CDISC ODM CDISC SDTM, etc.
    ● Experience with other programming languages, such as C, C++ or Visual Basic is preferred
