    Job Description

    To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to hire Data Protection Architect (Veeam) – IT who is based out of in Pune/Bangalore locations.

    Reporting to Director & the role involves,

    What a typical day looks like:

    • Support design, development, installation, implementation, and administration of backup solutions based on but not limited to Veeam products
    • This role combines creativity, strategic thinking, and practical analysis to drive impactful solutions aligned to organization goals
    • Proficient in ransomware recovery protocols, ensuring data integrity and system resilience
    • Support full range of backup operations for corporate wide applications and databases in a heterogenous environment
    • Responsible for configuring and monitoring of backup and restoration for Linux/Unix, Windows, VMware, MSSQL, Oracle & other databases
    • Analyze existing systems and recommend diverse, fault-tolerant solutions to ensure disaster recovery and continuity of operations plan
    • Review of backup and restoration incidents and taking corrective / preventive actions to reduce failure rate
    • Implement automation in backup operations, automate restore tests
    • Responsible for capacity planning and estimating the requirements to implement resilient and scalable backup infrastructure
    • Perform periodic review and optimization of backup operations to improve backup performance & increase backup efficiency; implement self-healing solutions
    • Manage Incident, Problem and Change management according to defined process
    • Compile statistics on Availability, Utilization and Performance for management reporting
    • Prepare and update systems and operation policies and documentation
    • Define, update Disaster Recovery procedure and carry out DR test regularly

    The experience we're looking to add to our team:

    • Any Bachelor or Master degree with minimum 9+ years of proven Infrastructure support.
    • Min 5+ years of Backup support experience
    • In depth knowledge of Veeam 11 & 12
    • In depth knowledge of configuring and managing Linux/Unix, Windows, VMware, MSSQL and Oracle DB backups and restorations
    • In depth knowledge of Storage Lifecycle Policies for replication and duplication
    • Experience in with design of traditional, hybrid and cloud-based data protection and business continuity solutions
    • Experience with DevOps, IaC, writing code and automate repeatable processes
    • Experience with Windows, Linux/Unix and VMware environment
    • Experience with integrating Backup with Cloud technology
    • Ability to work independently to solve problems and communicate resolution to others
    • Willing to provide weekend on-call support

    Here are our preferred experiences :

    • Certifications in Veeam and/or other backup vendors
    • Professional Level Certifications from Hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
    • SNIA Certified Storage Architect (SCSA) or equivalent vendor certification
    • ITIL Certifications
