Role andResponsibilities:

• Searchfor Manufacturers / Distributors / Wholesalers for the items inIMPA (International Maritime Purchasing Association) catalogue invarious ports to procure standard store/industrial items at themost competitive cost.
• Negotiate contracts withsuppliers including data collection andorganization.
• Prepare purchase proposals andcounter proposals.
• Formulate policies toimprove the companys economic position.
• Developworking relationships with new suppliers through research meetingsand finalize terms of sale.
• Complete buyingduties including contacting suppliers creating purchase orders andissuing payment.
• Maintain detailed records ofall purchases including costs items ordered fulfilment accuracy andissue resolution.
• Create purchase ordersaccording to suppliers requirements and distribute copies torelevant departments.
• Source commonly orderedconsumable products and list suppliersonline.
• Find multiple vendors for each productto ensure competitive pricing andavailability.
• Compile collected data andsegregate it as per IMPA Chapters.
• Liaise withthe IT team for smooth uploading of data.
• Checkfor the lowest available price on different platforms for vendorswithout images or pricing.
• Follow up withoperations teams on ongoing enquiries for consumableproducts.
• Familiarize with IMPA catalogue andassociated terminologies.
• Collate allinformation including transportation charges and efficiently managethe vendor database.
• Upgrade knowledge onvarious categories especially hand tools power tools electrical anddeck.

CandidateQualifications:

• Engineeringgraduate (Civil and Electrical preferred no consideration forComputer Science or IT).
• Good knowledge oftechnical items in ship stores.
• Proficient inMS Excel including Vlookup & Hlookup.
• Goodunderstanding of product categories and HSNcodes.
• Experience in dealing with consumablespreferably in the industrial ecommercesegment.
• Decent verbal and writtencommunicationskills.
