    Description

    Overview:

    The role ofResident Medical Officer (RMO) in Emergency Medicine (EMO) iscrucial in providing immediate medical care to patients inemergency situations. As an RMO you will play a vital role indiagnosing stabilizing and providing initial treatment to patientswhile working closely with a team of medicalprofessionals.

    KeyResponsibilities:

    • Assessing andtriaging patients based on medicalurgency
    • Performing medical examinations andproviding immediate treatment topatients
    • Monitoring and managing medicalemergencies in the EmergencyDepartment
    • Coordinating with specialists andconsultants for further management ofpatients
    • Supervising and mentoring juniormedical staff and interns
    • Updating patientrecords and maintaining accuratedocumentation
    • Participating in medical roundsand case discussions
    • Ensuring compliance withmedical protocols and standards
    • Managingmedical equipment and ensuring their properfunctioning
    • Providing medical advice andsupport to nursing and paramedicalstaff
    • Participating in continuous medicaleducation and training programs
    • Assisting inemergency medical procedures andinterventions
    • Collaborating with otherdepartments for seamless patientcare
    • Participating in quality improvementinitiatives and audits
    • Responding to medicalemergencies and Code Bluesituations

    RequiredQualifications:

    • MBBS degree from arecognized medical institution
    • Registration andvalid license to practice medicine
    • Provenexperience working as a Resident Medical Officer in an EmergencyDepartment
    • Sound knowledge of emergencymedicine principles and procedures
    • Excellentclinical skills and ability to make swift and accurate medicaldecisions
    • Strong communication andinterpersonal skills
    • Ability to workeffectively in highpressure and timecriticalsituations
    • Capability to collaborate with amultidisciplinary medical team
    • Commitment tocontinuous learning and professionaldevelopment
    • Familiarity with medical equipmentand emergency care protocols
    • Ability tomaintain composure and professionalism during challengingsituations
    • Knowledge of medical ethics andpatient confidentiality principles
    • Willingnessto work in shifts and be oncall asrequired
    • Uptodate knowledge of the latestdevelopments in emergencymedicine
    • Certification or training in BasicLife Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support(ACLS)
