Qualification: B. Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum years of experience in the relevant field of Power Generation & Power Distribution Companies who generate Power through Gas Engine

Job Purpose:

• To manage uninterrupted power generation & Power Distribution for Production units / Manufacturing Unit

Job Responsibilities:

• Power Production and Distribution

1. Ensure power generation from the captive power plant as and when required.
2. Ability to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the plant.
3. Ensure availability of 24x7 Gas supply/Fuel in the plants
4. Ensure smooth operation & Maintenance of Power House Equipment -Gas generators, DG sets. Utility and Auxiliaries.

• Maintenance of the Power Plant

1. Ability to diagnose failure of Operational Equipment and perform preventive and corrective maintenance works including Emergency Repairs , assembly and Overhauling activities

• Spares Parts Availability

1. To ensure adequate availability of emergency spare parts at all times.
2. Ability to undertake quality check for all types of spares & consumables.
3. Ability to develop alternate vendors for quality spares. Monitor the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance of supplies and Equipment

• Cost Effective Operations

1. Ability to reduce spares and maintenance cost of Gas Engines.
2. Ability to control spillage of gas, oil, chemicals and water.
3. Ability to reduce running hours of power Generators and specific fuel consumption of Engines.

• EHS & Fire Safety

1. Ensure and maintain safe environment inside and outside the power plant.
2. Ensure implementation of safety norms and procedures.
3. Ensure safe handling of the equipment.
4. Ensure zero accidents in the plant.
5. Ensure fire safety norms adherence.
6. Ensure statutory norms adherence pertaining to air, water & noise levels

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of Electrical Equipments and Power Generators
• Knowledge of sources of Power generation through Gas
