Overview:

As a Sleeper, you play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient transportation of goods and materials by sleeping in the sleeper berth of the truck and providing relief to the driver during long-haul trips. Your role is pivotal in maintaining compliance with driving regulations and ensuring the safety of the driver and cargo.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sleep in the sleeper berth of the truck to provide the driver with necessary rest breaks during long-haul trips.
• Assist the driver with vehicle operation, including navigation, communication, and compliance with regulations.
• Monitor the driver's adherence to driving hours and rest requirements to ensure compliance with transportation regulations.
• Communicate effectively with the driver to provide relief and ensure continuity in the transportation process.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues to the driver.
• Collaborate with the driver in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the sleeper area.
• Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with the driver and dispatch personnel.
• Report any incidents, accidents, or delays to appropriate personnel immediately.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
• Proven experience as a professional driver or in a related role.
• Understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing schedules.
• Physical stamina and ability to remain alert during long periods of inactivity.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment drug screening and background checks.
