About the role:

Our client is looking for an Wordpress Developer, as a WordPress Developer, who will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the color and font choices, and so on).

Job Description:

Permanent work from home

Shift: 7:30 PM- 3:30 AM (IST)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Implement Websites: Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins. You should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems.
• Website Maintenance: Ensure high-performance and availability, and manage all technical aspects of the CMS.
• Technical Support: Assist with troubleshooting any technical issues on the website and strive to improve the user experience.
• Coding: Write well-designed, efficient code by using best software development practices.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with the design team to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and to implement them.
• SEO: Optimize website for maximum speed and scalability and ensure that all elements of the web development are optimized for SEO.
• Testing: Conduct website performance tests and routinely update the website to improve loading speeds and user experience.

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development.
• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
• Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications.
• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites.
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers.
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git).
• Strong understanding of WordPress, its file structure, and experience with creating custom post types and plugins.
