• Work directly with customers to resolve data conflicts, inappropriate data usage, and schema and naming standards.
• Own customer / user problems and be preemptive when dealing with issues.
• Strictly adhere to established set of processes while handling incident requests.
• Abide by SOPs for appropriate escalation of unresolved issues to respective internal teams.
• Make certain that all calls are logged in the ticketing system & every activity is timely updated.
• Responsible for the maintenance of system configurations and process documentation, operating procedures, and infrastructure support documentation.
• Follow approved life cycle methodologies, create documentation for design and testing.
• Build strong awareness of platforms across product lines and clearly eloquent support decisions and findings.
• Manage the complete patch management process to ensure all patching in place.
• Adhere to the Change Management process, including presenting change requests with sufficient clarity to allow the appropriate authority to understand the reason for the change, the associated risk, the ease of regression & the implications of making or not making the change.
• To manage the system compliance and assist with regular audits & preparation of audits.
• To provide the required system reports on demand or as per schedule
• Identify and learn more about the software and hardware used/supported by the organization.
• Actively contribute to ongoing process improvement, problem resolution & workflow improvements.
• Awareness: in touch with the day-to-day challenges of the Team.
• Consistently follows-up and follows-through on delegated tasks and action. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
• Exposure on fixing the identified vulnerabilities identified in VAPT.
• Identifying the Root Cause and provide permanent fix. Creating RCA.
• Experience with Database Design, Database RMAN backups and recoveries from enterprise backup solutions.
• Experience with Performance Tuning, SQL design and fixing issues with TKPROF, AWR, SQLT, ORAchk, TFA.Confidentiality – Strictly for Internal use Page 3 of 4
• Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, Partitioning, Compression, OEM/Grid Control, VLDBs and archiving methods.
• Experience with backup, restore and recovery procedures.
• Experience in taking logical backups of data using oracle data pump utilities expdp/impdp.
• Experience with maintaining Oracle databases on RHEL operating system.
• Experience with solving client connectivity issues.
• Experience with supporting a corporate environment.
• Familiarity with software engineering, including programming languages such as Perl and shell scripting.
• Basic understanding of PL/SQL stored procedures and packages.
• Experience with building and implementing infrastructure monitors and utilities.
• Have a strong understanding of incident SLA management & ITIL concepts.
