Our MNC client is seeking a dynamic and experienced VP R&D Software and Informatics - Global, to join their team. This role will play a critical role in driving the development and implementation of global software solutions that support our scientific instrumentation and informatics platforms. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a talented team of software engineers and informatics specialists in creating innovative software products that enhance our customers' capabilities and drive scientific discovery.

Responsibilities:

Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership for the software and informatics team.

Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

· Team Management: Build and manage a high-performing team of software engineers, informatics

experts, and other professionals. Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development

opportunities.

· Product Development: Oversee the design, development, and testing of software applications

and informatics solutions, ensuring they meet quality, performance, and regulatory standards.

· Technology Roadmap: Define and execute a technology roadmap that aligns with the company's

strategic goals. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the

organization remains competitive.

· Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including leadership within the Analytical

Solutions and Customer Enablement Global Business Line (GBL) and the Production and Quality

Global Support Service (GSS) organizations to help define product roadmaps and drive successful

product launches.

· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that software products adhere to regulatory requirements (e.g.,

ISO), and establish best practices for software development and documentation.

Customer Engagement: Engage with key stakeholder and customers to understand their needs, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for software and informatics enhancements that provide value to end-users. · Innovation: Drive innovation in software and informatics by staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive intelligence. · Budget and Resource Management: Manage the software and informatics budget, allocate resources effectively, both in-house and outsourced to optimize project timelines. · Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control processes and practices to deliver reliable and user-friendly software products.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Informatics, or a related field. Ph.D. preferred.

· Minimum of 10 years of experience in leading software teams and managing informatics projects

Required Characteristics

· Experience in the life sciences, healthcare, or related industries is highly desirable.

· Experience in software development for scientific instrumentation.

· Strategic thinker with comfort delivering product vision and roadmap to C level audience.

· Strong technical background with expertise in software architecture, development methodologies,

and informatics platforms.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
