    About the RoleAutomotive Network Engineer plays a key role in Development, Maintenance and Bug Fixing of L3/L2 networking protocols like Ethernet Audio Video Bridge EAVB), and gPTP in Time Sensitive Network. He/She holds the key stake in communication between different services and ECUs in an Intelligent Cockpit Environment.

    Your TeamWhile this is an individual contributor role, you will be expected to lead with influence and work with cross-functional team members drawn from all relevant functions within the business in a matrix organization.

    This team will be empowered and aligned around company objectives. Excellent communication and leadership skills will be key to success.
    What You Will DoDevelop new features and enhancements based on customer and market requirements.

    Delivery of the features in scope in scheduled time with defined quality.

    Report status, issues, and progress of the SW development on timely intervals to stakeholders.

    Ensure pre-integration and system testing and verification for the functional area and its features.

    Ensure the implementation of defined test strategies and document the achieved results.

    Interface with different teams to realize features, achieve stability and KPI metrics.

    Interface with external vendors, suppliers, and stakeholders.

    Effort estimation for Change Requests from Product Management

    What You Need5-8 years of Development Experience in layer2 protocols of Networking Domain.

    Hands on Experience in Ethernet, VLAN, EAVB, gPTP or any layer2 protocols.

    Knowledge and understanding of L2 credit-based shaper and bandwidth management.

    Understanding of the HW EMAC and DMA and queue channel segregation.

    Expertise in one/more programing languages C, C++ in Android or Linux/QNX context.

    Understanding of Unit test and Static source code analysis frameworks.

    Strong component level knowledge - understanding of multi-core and multi-threaded challenges, FreeBSD and/or Linux or Android internals.

    Strong analytical thinking and ability to work with minimal support and guidance with good communication skills.

    Experience in Embedded system development.

    The candidate should be dynamic, enthusiastic team player with a "can do" attitude.
