Overview:

As an OtTechnician you will play a crucial role in the Operating Room byproviding technical support to surgical teams. Your attention todetail and knowledge of medical equipment will ensure that surgicalprocedures run smoothly and safely.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Prepare operatingrooms by setting up surgical equipment and ensuring everything issterile
• Assist in positioning and drapingpatients for surgery
• Pass instruments and othersterile supplies to surgeons and surgicalassistants
• Monitor and maintain a sterile fieldthroughout surgical procedures
• Operatesterilizers lights suction machines and other equipment in theOperating Room
• Assist with patient transport toand from the Operating Room
• Document andmaintain records of procedures and patient careactivities
• Stock and organize surgical suppliesand maintain inventory
• Adhere to safety andinfection control policies andprocedures
• Collaborate with the surgical teamto ensure a smooth workflow duringprocedures
• Respond quickly and effectively toemergencies in the Operating Room
• Provideemotional support to patients and their families before and aftersurgery
• Participate in the training of newstaff members and students
• Maintain a clean andorganized work environment
• Stay updated onadvances in surgical technology andtechniques

RequiredQualifications:

• High school diplomaor equivalent
• Completion of an accreditedsurgical technology program
• Certification as aSurgical Technologist (CST)
• Minimum of 2 yearsof experience working as an Ot Technician in an OperatingRoom
• Knowledge of surgical procedures andoperating room protocols
• Ability to maintaincomposure in highpressure situations
• Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills
• Strongattention to detail and ability to follow instructionsprecisely
• Understanding of sterilizationtechniques and infection controlprotocols
• Proficiency in using and maintainingsurgical equipment and instruments
• Physicalstamina to stand for long periods and lift/move patients andequipment
• Ability to work effectively as partof a cohesive surgical team
• Commitment toupholding patient confidentiality andprivacy
• Adherence to professional and ethicalstandards
• Willingness to work flexible hoursincluding evenings weekends andholidays
