    Expected Qualities of the role-holder:

    This role would require a person with at least 10-15 years of professional experience in the non-profit sector, managing multiple projects. They should be experienced in leading multiple projects, teams, and building relationships with various stakeholders. The person should have excellent communication skills, ability and willingness to collaborate, and ability to quickly adapt to volatile situations. They should be good at motivating their teams to achieve maximum efficiency and resolve any intra and inter team conflicts.

    Job Purpose

    Position reporting to

    CEO, EdelGive Foundation

    Develop and implement smart processes and robust governance frameworks to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks.

    Identify and implement technology solutions to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency.

    Supervise grant-making processes and manage grants effectively, including assessment and monitoring and evaluation activities.

    Ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies for collaborations with support from the EdelGive Governance Team.

    Oversee the execution of fundraising activities and cultivate partnerships to support collaborative initiatives.

    Ensure the quality delivery of capacity-building programs and initiatives to prepare stakeholders for future challenges and opportunities.

    Effectively manage internal and external communications related to collaborations and projects to maintain transparency and stakeholder engagement.

    Represent collaborations and projects at various forums, including conferences, meetings, and events, to promote visibility and advocate for their objectives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Managerial Responsibilities

    Consolidate and devise strategies for the effective functioning of various teams aligned with the role's functions.

    Develop comprehensive strategies to streamline operations and optimize team performance.

    Manage both inter-team and intra-team communications and collaborations to ensure seamless coordination and information sharing.

    Lead periodic progress review processes with teams to assess performance against objectives and milestones.

    Implement mechanisms for tracking progress and addressing any challenges or bottlenecks encountered by teams.

    Identify technological needs within the organisation and propose suitable solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

    Stay abreast of technological advancements and trends to leverage innovative solutions.

    Develop team members by providing guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for skill enhancement.

    Functional Responsibilities

    Core responsibilities:

    Strategy Development

    Strengthen the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) function and Capacity Building (CB) strategy for collabs & special projects, ensuring effective implementation.

    Foster communication and engagement both within teams and across different departments to facilitate collaboration and synergy.

    Provide insights to the CEO on grant performance, contributing to strategic decision-making processes.

    Conduct regular reviews of governance and risk mitigation mechanisms to maintain robust processes and compliance standards.

    Grant making and grant management:

    Lead and oversee the review of grant applications, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and criteria.

    Ensure management support for the high performance of grants by providing necessary resources and guidance.

    Coordinate with EdelGive Investment and Governance Teams for comprehensive reviews and assessments of grant proposals.

    Oversee coordination with external agencies for processing grant applications efficiently and effectively.

    Finalise grant applications for approvals, ensuring adherence to quality standards and documentation requirements.

    Ensure timely fulfillment of commitments related to investments and agreements, maintaining transparency and accountability throughout the process.

    Monitoring:

    Lead grant reviews and conduct timely assessments in collaboration with the Grant Management - Lead to ensure alignment with organisational goals and objectives.

    Manage both internal and external presentations of grant performance, providing stakeholders with comprehensive and insightful updates.

    Ensure the delivery of high-quality donor reporting, maintaining accuracy and transparency in all communications.

    Institution building:

    Take charge of developing ToRs and identifying suitable agencies for various initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational requirements and standards.

    Lead the planning process for capacity assessments for NGOs and oversee the development of capacity-building plans to address identified needs.

    Supervise the execution of capacity-building plans, monitoring progress and facilitating necessary adjustments to ensure successful outcomes.

    Risk and Mitigation

    Identify, manage, and flag program risks to mitigate potential adverse impacts on project outcomes and objectives.

    Identify, manage, and flag compliance risks to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

    Identify, manage, and flag funding risks to safeguard financial resources and sustain project viability.

    Identify, manage, and flag reputation risks to protect and enhance the organisation's image and credibility.

    Identify, manage, and flag organisational risks to address potential threats to overall operational effectiveness and sustainability.

    Other responsibilities

    Ensure the timely submission of reports, conduct field visits, and facilitate quality donor engagements to uphold transparency and accountability in project activities.

    Oversee the development of proposals for fundraising initiatives with support from the Partnerships Team, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and donor requirements.

    Manage social media communications in collaboration with the Manager-Grants, Capability Building, and the EdelGive Communication Team, maintaining a consistent and engaging online presence.

    Perform any other responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving organisational needs and priorities.

    Job Requirements

    Qualifications

    Master's in social work /Sociology/ Development Studies or a PhD is desirable

    Experience

    At least years of experience of working in social development sector

    Proven experiences Grant Management, Monitoring & Evaluation, Capacity Building for organizations

    Experience working with NGOs

    Experience of preparing and reviewing proposals and budgets

    Functional Competencies

    Ability to lead the team in their grant management efforts and provide required support

    Sound analytical skills with advance skills in Excel and statistical analysis packages

    Good verbal and written communication skills

    Sound understanding of results-based management (RBM), Logical Framework Analysis (LFA), Results Matrix, etc. and similar tools used

    Sound understanding of research designs and evaluation methods

    Sound understanding of budget development and ability to link it with program
