    Job Title: HR Operations and Payroll Manager

    Department: Human Resources

    Location: Mumbai (Hybrid)

    Reports To: Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)

    Job Summary:

    As the HR Operations and Payroll Manager, I oversee the seamless functioning of the Human Resources department, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and accuracy in payroll processing, HR operations, and regulatory adherence. My role is pivotal in maintaining meticulous payroll records, managing HR operations, and upholding compliance with regulatory standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Payroll Management:
    • Execute and oversee precise and timely processing of company payroll, including deductions, bonuses, and overtime.
    • Ensure meticulous compliance with Indian payroll tax regulations and statutory norms.
    • Respond promptly to payroll inquiries, resolving issues efficiently.
    • Collaborate closely with the Finance team for accurate accounting and reconciliation of payroll transactions.
    • Stay updated on evolving payroll laws and regulations.
    1. HR Operations:
    • Contribute effectively to recruitment and onboarding processes, from job postings to new employee orientations.
    • Maintain integrity of employee records and HR databases, ensuring data precision and confidentiality.
    • Support HR functions such as benefits administration, employee relations, and performance management.
    • Generate HR reports and analytics for informed decision-making.
    • Foster seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams to streamline HR processes.
    1. HR Compliance:
    • Demonstrate strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and labor laws.
    • Address employee inquiries regarding payroll, TDS, PF, ESIC, and compensation matters.
    • Ensure compliance with state and local payroll regulations, including tax withholding and reporting.
    • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws, recommending process improvements when necessary.
    • Assist with annual audits and provide necessary documentation and reports.
    • Monitor and ensure timely completion of tasks related to statutory compliances.
    1. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Compile, organize, and maintain HR and payroll documentation, including employee contracts and forms.
    • Generate regular and specialized reports on HR metrics, payroll costs, and compliance status.
    • Maintain accurate records of all HR-related activities for accessibility and precision.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • Demonstrated track record in payroll processing, HR operations, and compliance within BFSI or service industry.
    • Profound knowledge of HR and payroll regulations, statutory requirements, and compliance standards.
    • Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software, with a strong aptitude for technology.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with discretion in handling confidential information.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
