    Description

    Senior Accountant

    Shift: 3 PM to 12 AM

    ** Summary: **

    The Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the company's financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Senior Accountant will play an integral role on the team by preparing necessary journal entries and ensuring appropriate accounting is performed on designated accounts and entities. The incumbent will be an active participant in the preparation of work papers and documentation needed for the completion of the annual financial statement audit.

    Knowledge & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred and over 10 plus years.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Perform the month-end and year-end close processes.
    2. Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations on various general ledger accounts and use problem-solving skills to research and remediate any reconciling differences.
    3. Research and analyze expense variances and determine appropriate accruals.
    4. Ensure accuracy and completeness of general ledger transactions.
    5. Recording and reconciling intercompany activity and providing support globally to counterparts to resolve discrepancies.
    6. Assist with the annual audit process.
    7. Ensure compliance with GAAP principles and assist with external audits and tax filings.

    Required Skills:

    1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
    2. 5 + years of progressive accounting experience, focusing on full cycle accounting close.
    3. Strong understanding of UK GAAP principles and financial reporting requirements.
    4. Proficiency in accounting software (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel skills.

    Power BI and experience with large data sets preferred.

    2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effectively conveying financial information to stakeholders.
    3. Proven track record of effectively managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
    5. A self-motivated and proactive approach to work, with a demonstrated ability to work independently and be a proactive self-starter.
