Job Description For Associate QA/EC Engineer (QA - L1)

In this role, you will be responsible for executing test cases thoroughly, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the product. Clear and concise reporting of detected bugs and errors is crucial, along with active participation in test case creation and review. Collaborating with developers, youll contribute to issue resolution and maintain documentation for test cases and bugs. Adeptness in web and mobile app testing, familiarity with bug-tracking tools, and participation in code reviews are essential. Knowledge of Postman and the ability to perform API testing are required, along with attending UAT calls to understand user requirements. The role also demands a solid understanding of manual testing, basic testing methodologies, and effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities:

• Execute test cases in the product thoroughly and ensure thorough test coverage.
  
• Report detected bugs and errors clearly and concisely.
  
• Participate in test case creation and review.
  
• Stay informed about software testing methodologies and best practices.
  
• Collaborate with developers to effectively resolve identified issues.
  
• Understanding of software testing fundamentals and quality assurance principles.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., development, product, marketing).
  
• Should be able to make and update the documentation of the test cases and bugs.
  
• Update test documentation as needed.
  
• Should be able to do the web and mobile app testing.
  
• Should be Familiar with bug-tracking tools.
  
• Participate in code reviews and identify potential quality issues early on.
  
• Should have good knowledge of Postman
  
• Ability to perform API testing using tools like Postman.
  
• Should go on UAT calls to understand the user requirements.
  

Requirements

Required Skills:

• Familiarity with Manual Testing and Basic testing methodologies
  
• A keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills.
  
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  
• Basic experience with test management tools (e.g., Jira,) plus.
  
• Basic knowledge of SQL for querying databases (optional).
