    Position: Engineering Manager – BackEnd (B2B), Digital Business, Digital Business

    Purpose: This position is required to provide technology leadership on medium to large scale products/platform with internal and direct customer impact. The incumbent is responsible for building, managing and supporting the backend system within SonyLiv OTT. This include partner integration, solving integration challenge, build self-serve portal for partners, build end to end automation for sonyLiv integration at every level. Additional responsible will also include leading, managing the vendors and other stakeholder for laying out the plan for partner integration and enhancing and re-imagining the collaboration with different partner with SonyLiv OTT platform

    Education: ./, MCA or Equivalent Computer Degree

    Experience: Overall 10+ experience in Backend Software development

    Have 5+ years of experience in scalable, multi-tenant environments.

    Have 5+ years' experience leading projects, including helping scope and breakdown work.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, Executing, Architect, design, and implement scalable backend services
  • Design and build high-volume APIs to support internal and external developers
  • Work closely with vendor to operating existing partner integration system for SonyLiv OTT platform
  • Build, operate and manage the engineering for integrations with multiple partners using self-serve model.
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish our business goals
  • Cross-collaborate with Vendors, SPNI software engineers, product managers, designers, and QA analysts in an autonomous, supportive team environment
  • Build and maintain unit and integration tests
  • Mentor other engineers on best practices, code design considerations, and quality
  • Mentoring the team and guid them for right solution and create the next layer of leadership.

  • Comfortable working on /Golang/JavaScript//MongoDb/Redis
  • Have 3+ experience in getting requirement, streamlining integration processes and prioritisation of issues with multiple B2B partners
  • Have experience in building API's for scalable B2B system
  • Value testing and documentation equally as much as your code
  • Experience with integration, data handling technologies and other open-source frameworks such as Elasticsearch, Solr etc
  • Experience in cloud technology like AWS
  • Are comfortable with ambiguity and scoping solutions with your teammates
  • Have consistently communicated trade-offs throughout a project to meet both technical and business requirements
  • Minimum 3+ year of experience in managing and building the team from ground up
  • Good to have working knowledge of WebSocket's.
