If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Risk Technology team Mumbai.

    Risk Technology is a cross-functional team of software development specialists, geospatial information specialists and catastrophe / financial model specialists who bring best-in-class analytics, thought leadership and expertise in designing, building and supporting industry standard risk analysis tools.

    This is an exceptional opportunity to play a key role in developing the change capabilities of a global financial services organization, where the focus will be on practical delivery and reacting to the highest value business needs.

    You will be able to use your practical experience to hit the ground running, contribute to building high quality solutions to help meet our complex business requirements, challenge the technical design and delivery choices, demonstrate your detail-oriented approach with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ensure a successful delivery.

    The Role

    • your natural drive and expertise to push forward the build of software tools whilst developing deep domain knowledge.
    • hands-on development of class leading web-based applications and services, using software best practices, as a technical expert
    • closely with the Solutions Engineering Lead maintaining good lines of communication
    • agility, ability to think outside the box and challenge established development processes and procedures
    • your enthusiasm and drive to improve and work smarter to benefit our tools and products through awareness of technology trends and direction outside of the organization
    • understanding of technical architecture to ensure enhancements and solutions are delivered in line with the vision
    • to defined development best practices and principles to enable WTW to deliver industry-leading technology solutions.
    • to, promote and improve development practices, collaborate on low level design and perform code reviews
    • support and advice to more junior members of the team.
    • and recommend prioritization through the project implementation process.

    The Requirements

    Essential:

    • strong work ethic with a desire to improve yourself through your work
    • of 5 years software development experience
    • competency in C#, Typescript with experience working with .NET Core, Angular 8+ and Python(desirable).
    • commercial experience in Azure cloud
    • using Azure DevOps
    • mentoring and guiding team members
    • with all phases of the SDLC including maintenance and with Agile methodologies
    • to work on own initiative or as part of a broader project team
    • communication skills and ability to apply these to rapid and creative problem solving.

    Desirable:

    • with microservice based architectures
    • understanding and translating complex business processes involving stakeholder groups and perspectives
    • of working in a financial services organization, preferably with exposure to the insurance industry/insurance broking. Where this directly relevant experience is not available, we will be looking for an ability to rapidly become effective in a new, unfamiliar environment.
    • The successful applicant will report to the Risk Technology Solutions Engineering Lead.
    • The role offers hybrid working with travel to office expected on a regular cadence.
