Mid Level Java Developer - India - System Soft Technologies

Job Summary

Client is seeking Mid-Levell Java Developers to support a multi-national power management client of ours. This team will be re-writing 48 applications that are running on an old operating system. The current environment is running on Redhat Linux 5 and they will be responsible for moving these applications to Kubernetes on a OS platform. This is mainly backend responsibilities but there may be some small tweaking in terms of front end code once it's moved over to the new server. These resources will be joining a team of 4 other developers and a lead.

Must Haves:

• 3+ years' experience working as a Java Developer within Java 8 – 17

• Experience with JDK8 and JDK11

• Proven knowledge on OOP (Object Oriented Programming) concepts.

• Experience with Frameworks such as Struts & Spring

• ORM Frameworks - Hibernate, JPA

• Build Strategies such as Ant, Maven

• Worked on at least one application server (Jboss 4+& 7+, Tomcat 8+, Weblogic etc.)

Moving to Tomcat 9 and/or Tomcat 10

• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and/or Material

• Experience in ITSM tools like ServiceNow or Remedy

• Experience in Requirement management tools like Atlassian Jira or similar tools

• Experience with Source code control systems like ClearCase, Bitbucket / GitHub Web hooks or similar

• Container Deployments with Docker, Kubernetes or Redhat OpenShift

• Hands on experience in unit test coverage using Junit or similar

Soft Skills:

• Good communication skills (verbal/written)

• Good understanding and high-performance applications leveraging design patterns, best architecture/coding practices
