    JobOverview

    The position is to leadthe team responsible for ideating managing and executing variouscampaigns and event partnership at United Way Mumbai. Thepredominant campaign is the Tata Mumbai Marathon (TMM). TMM isIndias biggest philanthropic sporting event annually raising morethan INR 40 crores for nearly 250 NGOs with hundreds of corporatepartners and individuals supporting them. As the officialphilanthropy partner of the TMM we serve as the philanthropicexchange connecting donors to NGOs by creating and implementing anorganized and structured charity platform.

    Inthis position the Deputy manager works closely with allparticipating NGOs to build their capacities to help them leveragethe fundraising platform provided. This is a high visibilityposition requiring strong levels of maturity and intelligence innurturing and maintaining relationships with a large set ofstakeholders.

    Jobresponsibilities

    • Createimprove and communicate the philanthropy structure to maximize thefund raising capacity and visibility of all participating charitiesvia the event.
    • Maintain excellent processes toensure flawless execution of the philanthropystructure.
    • Manage the entire funds cycleraising receiving accounting reconciling disbursing andreporting.
    • Create and implement a communicationstrategy to leverage the visibility of the charity aspect of theTMM and various campaigns
    • Conceptualize leadand run various online campaigns
    • Manage anddevelop relationships with NGOs Corporate Fundraisers Donorsvendors andpartners.

    ProfileRequisites

    • Organizedand an excellent communicator written as well as oral. Creative andinnovative thinker. Problem solver. Solutionoriented.
    • Have a good listening skill and be ofan empathetic nature. Your ability to connect with people and gaintrust quickly are essential
    • You need to beselfmotivated and goaloriented. Taking initiative and ability tothink out of the box is a required skill for thejob
    • Great command of MS Office and excellentwritten and verbal communication skills arerequired.
    • Being of curious mind is a bonus tothe position
    • 6 years of work experience andBachelors or Masters degree with a focus on humanities marketingcommunication or business administrationpreferred
    • Great understanding of social andtraditional media and comfortable with the use of technology toimprove the effectiveness of the platform.
    • Havedemonstrable experience handling large and complexactivities/events/processes.
    • An understandingof the nonprofit sector is desirable but not essential. Sensitivityto the sector is essential.
    • A peoples personwith natural flair for developing relationships and network. Yourinterest in others and your desire to make connection must beauthentic
