    JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW:

    As the Payroll Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting and leading the Payroll (Restaurant) team. You will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of payroll including resolution of complex payroll issues impacting Restaurant team members. This position supervises the Payroll team in completing payroll processes and will hold the team accountable for meeting service level agreements, reducing errors, ensuring compliance, and meeting tight weekly deadlines. The position is also responsible for running pay calculations, creating reports, and reviewing and approving final documentation each pay period which will be saved for internal / external audit and backup. This role will also coordinate team training and provide support to the Payroll Manager.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Supervise and provide support for all Payroll functions
    • Prepare, process, and generate Restaurant payroll via Workday
    • Audit, review, and reconcile Restaurant payrolls on a weekly basis
    • Review supporting documentation/backup for weekly audit reports distributed to Payroll Coordinators
    • Assists in Training (virtual and in-person) and Development of Payroll Team Members and New Hires
    • Responsible for team-building activities and training
    • Document and maintain best practices, including SOPs, for payroll processing and implement new procedures as needed
    • Maintain a high level of customer service through timely resolution of escalated issues
    • Import Time and Bonus files
    • Complete Retroactive payments and audit differences
    • Assist with research and resolution of complex payroll related matters
    • Maintain a high level of confidentiality for all payroll-related items
    • Support the Payroll Manager by handling escalations and internal/external audits
    • Completes ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned by payroll leadership

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 4-year degree or equivalent work experience
    • Minimum one year of management or supervisory experience
    • Undergraduate degree in business, accounting, or related field preferred
    • FCP or CPP preferred
    • 3 – 5 years of payroll processing experience required
    • Experience with Workday or comparable software preferred

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Strong computer skills including Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills ( VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
    • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
    • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
    • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and meet critical deadlines
    • Ability to maintain strict adherence to outlined procedures
    • Ability to have a flexible work schedule due to work volume fluctuations
