Role & responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
* On-Site Supervision: Lead the day-to-day installation of HVAC ducts, piping, electrical conduits, wiring, and plumbing fixtures.
* Drawing Review: Thoroughly review Shop Drawings and Inter-service Coordination Drawings (ISCD) to identify potential site clashes before installation begins.
* Material Management: Prepare Material Indents based on the Bill of Quantities (BOQ). Verify that materials delivered to the site match the approved technical submittals and are stored correctly.
* Workforce Coordination: Manage sub-contractors and labor teams. Distribute daily work targets and ensure manpower is utilized efficiently to meet deadlines.
* Quality & Safety (QA/QC): Conduct internal inspections (WIR - Work Inspection Requests) before inviting the consultant for final approval. Ensure all "Hot Work" and site activities follow HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) protocols.
* Progress Reporting: Prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR) and weekly summaries highlighting completed work, pending hurdles, and material requirements.
* Testing & Commissioning: Execute pressure tests for pipes, insulation checks, lux level testing, and DB dressing. Support the final commissioning of major equipment (Chillers, Pumps, DG sets, Fire Pumps).
* Technical Skills: * Strong ability to read complex 2D AutoCAD and 3D Revit drawings.
* Knowledge of installation sequences (e.g., ensuring high-level drainage pipes are installed before HVAC ducts).
* Familiarity with local civil defense and electricity board regulations.
* Tools: Basic AutoCAD (for minor site adjustments), MS Excel (for tracking), and Procore or similar project management software is a plus.
Preferred candidate profile
- B.Tech / B.E/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in MEP Site Execution.
- Good understanding of MEP installation sequences and inter-discipline coordination
- Good communication skills for coordination with clients.
