This is a remote position.

The IT PLM team has responsibility to implement and maintain software applications to support R&D and Service. Applications in this area include PTC Windchill and SOLIDWORKS PDM Pro. Client-side tools that interact with these applications include Creo, SOLIDWORKS, Creo Illustrate, Arbortext, and Titania Web Editor.

The IT Applications Analyst is responsible for providing technical, implementation, testing, requirement gathering, and enterprise system design support for SOLIDWORKS PDM Pro and PTC Windchill.

They will work with business team members to translate user requirements into system design specifications, develop code, perform testing, investigate, and resolve issues, and monitor production systems.

DUTIES

1. Participate with the PLM application team to develop, configure, and resolve issues within the SOLIDWORKS (SW) PDM, and PTC Windchill application areas.
2. Install and configure SOLIDWORKS Client software, connect to the SOLIDWORKS license server, and integrate with SOLIDWORKS PDM Pro.
3. Collaborate with engineers and designers to implement, maintain, and improve the quality and efficiency of the SOLIDWORKS PDM Pro and Windchill PLM tools.
4. Gather user feedback and implement appropriate process improvements, best user practices, and training either as an individual mentor or in group settings.
5. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for WTPart, Bill of Materials management (part-centric vs. CAD-centric) and change management.
6. Provide recommendations for design platforms, computer recommendations, and general design software improvements.
7. Expertise with SOLIDWORKS PDM Pro data migrations to Windchill PLM, make relevant recommendations, and analyze risks.
8. Provide user support for SOLIDWORKS and SOLIDWORKS PDM Pro users.
9. Support during sever configuration changes between non-production and production instances of SOLIDWORKS PDM Pro.
10. Troubleshooting between multiple systems and maintaining production user environments.

Requirements

Specific work experience requirements:
1. Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant technical field (Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, etc.)
years of experience within a manufacturing / R&D environment supporting PDM, PLM, CAD systems.
3. Experience interfacing between Engineering and Information Technology (IT) professionals to define requirements for PLM or CAD software and hardware optimization.
4. Work independently with global IT and Design teams.
5. Understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts.
6. Experience with software design, data modeling, development, testing, and implementation.
7. Strong analytical and communication skills.
