We are looking for a Data Specialist to join our Research team based in India.
As a Data Specialist in India, you will deliver the timely and accurate data capturing, processing and visualisation, whilst ensuring level agreements are met and improved where possible.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to understand data needs and requirements.
Understanding processes (data flow) and syncing external incoming data
Oversee the complete ETL (extract Transform Load) process.
Report any failures, issues, and defects via our JATO reporting tool.
Analyse and translate business needs into comprehensive data models, including conceptual, logical, and physical models.
Design and implement data models for various applications, such as data warehouses, data marts, and operational databases, utilizing diverse technologies like relational, dimensional, and NoSQL databases.
Develop and maintain data modelling standards and best practices to ensure data consistency and quality.
Document and maintain data models for future reference and knowledge transfer.
Perform data quality assessments and identify opportunities for data cleansing and optimization.
Database backups and house keeping to ensure the timely and accurate data capturing & production of all data. Ensuring all service level agreements are met and improved where possible.
Work closely with developers and data engineers to ensure smooth data integration and implementation.
Stay up-to-date with the latest data modelling trends and technologies.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in data modelling or a related field.
Knowledge of the local car market and a working knowledge of the terms used to describe vehicles would be an asset but not essential.
Understanding of data modelling principles and methodologies (e.g., Entity-Relationship Diagrams, normalization).
Knowledge of networks and FTP tools
Proficiency in SQL and experience with various database platforms (relational and non-relational).
Experience with data modelling tools (e.g., SQL Database, ERBuilder).
Experience with data governance frameworks.
Understanding of data warehousing and business intelligence concepts.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Must have exceptional communication skills, verbal and written in English
A flexible, professional attitude with the ability to support change management processes when and if necessary.
The ability to prioritize workloads and respond to deadlines
Solid interpersonal skills are essential as is diligence and good timekeeping.
Power BI knowledge for formulating and visualization of the data.
