    Description

    Job Summary

    The SRE/Cloud DevOps Engineer is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining a best-in-class, secure, highly available, and resilient environment that meets the organization's changing needs. This position ensures that our applications remain highly available, reliable, and scalable. The primary responsibilities include automation, monitoring, and incident response. It will also be responsible for implementing good engineering practices and capabilities, including security, networking, monitoring, scaling, and factors contributing to overall reliability.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Deliver and optimize business solutions utilizing AWS technologies.
    • Develop and maintain scripts on Linux for automation and process improvement.
    • Handle production issues and manage changes efficiently.
    • Successfully implement and maintain end-to-end monitoring/observability, reliability, incident response, and alerting systems.
    • Proactively monitor infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
    • Debug applications to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.
    • Configure and manage rules, modern services, processes, and supporting platforms.
    • Collaborate closely with the development team to align on infrastructure needs and solutions.
    • Automate processes and workflows to improve operational efficiency.
    • Implement good engineering practices, including security, networking, monitoring, and scaling.

    Technical Skills

    • 6 & + years of experience as a SRE/DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
    • Expertise in Terraform and AWS technologies such as EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, IAM, CloudWatch, SQS, MWAA, DMS, etc.
    • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Bash on Linux.
    • Proven experience successfully implementing and maintaining monitoring systems using tools such as Grafana, Splunk, CloudWatch, and Prometheus.
    • AWS certification preferred.
    • Experience with debugging applications to troubleshoot infrastructure issues.
    • Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitLab.
    • Proficient in containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle production issues effectively.

    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
    • Strong proactive attitude towards monitoring and maintaining infrastructure.
    • Enthusiastic and eager to take on new challenges.
    • A "can do" attitude with a get-things-done approach.
