- Understand and facilitate accounting for payroll, benefit and incentive plans
- Identify and coordinate payroll accounting issue resolution
- Understand and payroll and benefit functions and reporting
- Prepare and manage GL reconciliation preparation and review
- Prepare and manage monthly/quarterly closing entries
- Coordinate and review outsourced activities
- Assist with quarterly analysis, schedules, and commentary for trial balance review and SEC disclosures
- Coordinate and facilitate audit request (PwC, SOX, affiliates)
- Coordinate with business partners and provide global payroll perspective for various projects
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an environment with multiple entities, both domestic and international
- Proficiency with MS Excel and other MS Office software; SAP Experience preferred
- Excellent knowledge of accounting procedures & principles and GAAP requirements
- Effective communication skills with the ability to influence and facilitate communication between various groups
- Keen analytical skills to identify transaction issues, propose potential solutions, and perform trend analysis
- Ability to teach, train and coach group members
- Capability to build relationships and collaborate internally and externally

JOB DESCRIPTION
The General Accountant will function as a key finance partner to manage and oversee outsourced activities related to payroll journals and reconciliations. This role will also be responsible for supporting trial balance analytics primarily for US and Europe business partners. In addition, the General Accountant will be tasked with supporting the accounting, reconciliation, and annual statement process for the US Sales Incentive Plan. The Benefits Accounting team works globally to coordinate/process a variety of transactions between Levi's affiliates and regions, which enables exposure to various business activities and projects.
