    Summary

    Are you a software development manager that thrives on a vibrant, innovative and collaborative team? Do you have a passion and a desire to remain in the weeds in a rapid, dynamic environment? We experiment and innovate leveraging the latest technologies, engineer breakthrough customer experiences, and bring simplicity and security to payments processing.

    As a manager at Global Payments, you will take ownership for the delivery of business critical products. We are looking for someone to manage a delivery team that can lead innovation, drive improvements, set technical direction, and consistently meet the needs of the business.

    Responsibilities

  • Manage technical talent acquisition, growth, and retention for teams working on technology stack
  • Work with product and key stakeholders to set desired product roadmaps
  • Drive critical improvements to stay ahead of the growing business needs
  • Evaluate new technologies and delivery practices
  • Drive accurate and efficient project estimates
  • Create project plans, identify dependencies and risks, and allocate resources
  • Develop capacity plans and skills assessments
  • Stay up to date on the latest security threats and secure application design and coding practices
  • Manage third party consultants
  • Lead the design, craftsmanship, availability, resilience, security and scalability of your solutions
  • Foster a culture to stay on top of technology trends and participate in technology communities
  • Encourage innovation, inclusion, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
  • Lead and mentor a team of development, quality assurance, and support engineers
  • Simultaneously drive multiple large initiatives potentially across multiple scrum teams
  • Prepare and present technical presentations and project status
  • Provide required information for the annual budget

    • Basic Qualifications

  • 12 years or more software development work experience
  • 4 years or more experience with developing or managing projects and/or products
  • 3 years or more experience with managing agile software development teams
  • Deep knowledge and experience with designing and developing enterprise grade applications
  • Deep knowledge and experience with agile and scaled agile methodologies
  • Additional Qualifications that might help
  • Financial domain experience (Fintech, PCI)
  • Cloud development experience
