Job Title: Site In charge (Resident Site Manager)

Experience Required: Minimum of 6 to 12 years of relevant EPC site experience

Qualification: B. Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Location: JSW Site (Jaigarh): 50 km from Ratnagiri (Maharashtra)

Reports To: Project V.P.

Role Overview

The Site In charge is responsible for overall site execution, manpower management, contractor management, billing, safety compliance, statutory compliance, quality assurance, weekly & monthly reporting, daily planning and timely completion of EPC project activities. This role ensures smooth coordination between engineering, procurement, client representatives, and HO teams while maintaining productivity, safety standards, and cost control at the project site.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Execution & Project Delivery

  • Lead day-to-day execution of civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation activities.
  • Ensure completion as per drawings, standards, and project schedule.

2. Manpower & Contractor Management

  • Review and coordinate closely with sub-contractors & internal team for deputation of manpower, machines and construction material.
  • Allocate and supervise site workforce, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Monitor productivity and resolve day-to-day execution issues.

3. Safety, Health & Environment (SHE)

  • Enforce safety practices, conduct toolbox talks, and implement safety programs.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and client-specific HSE requirements.
  • Ensure all statutory compliance
  • Coordinate with HR of clients toe ensure all documentation and reporting requirements are complied.

4. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure work meets QA/QC standards and applicable codes.
  • Coordinate inspections with client/third parties and close NCRs.

5. Material & Equipment Management

  • Ensure availability of materials, tools, consumables, and equipment.
  • Maintain records for material consumption and minimize wastage.

6. Progress Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track daily/weekly progress and highlight deviations.
  • Submit DPRs, WPRs, and manpower/equipment reports to HO.

7. Client Interaction

  • Attend site meetings with client, consultants, and PMC.
  • Address site queries and ensure smooth communication.
  • Weekly/Bi-weekly/ Monthly reporting
  • Billing and follow-up
  • Change request management

8. Cost Control & Optimization

  • Control site expenses, avoid rework, overtime misuse, and equipment idle time.
  • Follow approved budget and reduce non-value-added activities.
