    Title: Financial Controller

    REMOTE

    7PM IST - 4AM IST (US SHIFT)

    Position Overview:

    The Financial Controller plays a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting and management. This position requires extensive experience in QuickBooks, bookkeeping, and a strong understanding of American accounting standards (GAAP).

    Key Responsibilities:

    Financial Reporting:

    -Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

    -Oversee the general ledger accounting process, ensuring accurate recording of transactions and proper account reconciliations.

    -Review and interpret financial data to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.

    Budgeting and Forecasting:

    -Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads and senior management.

    -Monitor budget performance, identify variances, and provide analysis to support decision-making.

    -Implement strategies to optimize financial performance and achieve budgetary goals.

    Cash Flow Management:

    -Manage cash flow projections and ensure adequate liquidity to meet operational needs.

    -Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to optimize cash flow efficiency.

    -Implement controls and procedures to mitigate cash flow risks and improve working capital management.

    Compliance and Internal Controls:

    -Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, including tax filings, financial reporting, and audit requirements.

    -Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.

    -Coordinate external audits and facilitate the resolution of audit findings and recommendations.

    Financial Analysis and Decision Support:

    -Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, investment evaluations, and business initiatives.

    -Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to drive profitability and growth.

    -Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and revenue enhancement.

    Team Leadership and Development:

    -Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

    -Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the finance team.

    -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration on financial objectives.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and financial management roles, with a focus on QuickBooks and bookkeeping.
    • Thorough knowledge of American accounting standards (GAAP) and proficiency in financial reporting requirements.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
    • Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing a team.
    • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
