    OVERVIEW:

    Our client is a leading apparel manufacturer seeking for a Production Director specializing in woven production, you will be responsible for overseeing six apparel manufacturing plants. Your role will involve strategic planning, resource optimization, and ensuring production efficiency to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and uphold best practices in woven apparel manufacturing.

    RESPONSIBILITES:

    1.Production Strategy and Planning:

    • Develop and implement production strategies aligned with company objectives and market demands.
    • Plan production schedules, capacity utilization, and resource allocation across multiple plants to optimize efficiency and minimize lead times.
    • Coordinate with sales, merchandising, and supply chain teams to forecast demand and ensure production readiness.

    2.Plant Operations Management:

    • Provide leadership and direction to plant managers and production teams across multiple facilities.
    • Monitor production processes, equipment performance, and workforce productivity to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
    • Implement best practices in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence.

    3.Quality Assurance and Compliance:

    • Establish and enforce quality control measures and production standards to ensure product consistency and compliance with industry regulations.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and address any non-conformities.
    • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.

    4.Cost Management and Budgeting:

    • Develop and manage production budgets, including labor, materials, and overhead costs.
    • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization while maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction.
    • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing for raw materials and services.

    5.Team Leadership and Development:

    • Recruit, train, and mentor production staff to build a skilled and motivated workforce.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the production organization.
    • Provide regular performance feedback and support career development opportunities for team members.

    6.Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

    • Lead cross-functional teams in identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiency gains.
    • Utilize data analytics and performance metrics to track progress and measure the impact of improvement initiatives.
    • Drive a culture of innovation and creativity to stay ahead of industry trends and technological advancements.

    PRE - REQUISITES:

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Apparel Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in apparel manufacturing, with a focus on woven production and management of multiple plants.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams across different locations.
