Key Responsibilities:

• Data Archiving Implementation:

• Implement archiving objects specific to Materials Management (MM), such as purchase orders, material masters, and invoice verification data.

• Configure archiving programs and processes to identify, archive, and delete data according to retention policies.

• Test archiving procedures to ensure data integrity and efficient data retrieval from the archive.

• Data Retention and Compliance:

• Design and implement data retention policies for MM data, aligning with industry regulations and company requirements.

• Ensure compliance with data protection laws and regulations, when archiving MM data.

• Develop and maintain documentation related to data retention policies and archiving procedures.

• System Optimization:

• Analyze and optimize data archiving processes to reduce SAP database size and improve system performance.

• Monitor data archiving processes and identify areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with other SAP functional consultants (e.g., FI, SD) to ensure consistent data archiving practices across the SAP landscape.

• Problem Solving and Support:

• Train users on data archiving procedure

• Troubleshoot data archiving issues and provide support to users.

• Participate in data archiving projects and provide expert guidance on data archiving best practices.

Required Skills:

SAP MM Module Expertise:

• Deep understanding of SAP MM processes, including procurement, inventory management, and invoice verification.

• SAP Data Archiving Knowledge:

• Extensive experience with SAP data archiving tools and techniques, including archiving objects, and retention management.

• Technical Skills:

• Experience with ABAP development for customizing archiving objects.

• Familiarity with SAP database management and performance optimization techniques.

• Knowledge of SAP landscape management and integration with other modules.
