    **Job Title: Quality Assurance Microbiologist**

    Job Description:

    The quality assurance microbiologist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of microbiological test data before it is released to clients. This role involves reviewing and approving test results, verifying that testing has been performed in accordance with approved SOPs and quality systems.

    • Review colony counts, confirmation tests, presence/absence assays, dilutions, incubation conditions, media performance and method suitability.
    • Evaluate results against regulatory limits, client specifications and internal criteria.


    • A PhD in Microbiology/Molecular Biology/Biotechnology or related field OR Master's degree in Microbiology/Biotechnology with 3+ years relevant experience.

    This position requires a strong working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 standards as well as food microbiology regulations. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills along with scientific judgment to interpret atypical/borderline results using root cause analysis (RCA) methodologies.
