    Job Description:


    As a Junior Application Specialist - OPT , the candidate will play a vital role in providing expert demonstrations, training, and ongoing support for our medical device, ensuring customers understand and utilize its full capabilities.

    Acting as our clinical product champion and the "face to the customer," the Application Specialist will deliver clinical applications training to customers and, as needed, to the sales and marketing teams.

    This training ensures users are confident and proficient with both the device and its software.
    In addition to training, the Application Specialist will drive product utilization through effective account strategies and continuous customer support. This role requires extensive travel, with up to 80% or more of time spent on-site with customers.

    Furthermore, the Application Specialist will contribute to product quality by providing valuable feedback to Product Specialists and relevant teams within the company.

    This role will report to Strategic Marketing and Business Development Manager, Medical Technologies, India.

    Job Description
    Responsibilities

    Product Demonstrations:
    Conduct engaging pre-sales demos, showcasing product features and benefits tailored to customer needs


    Post Installation Training:
    Guide customers through setup and provide comprehensive initial training, ensuring correct usage and device familiarity


    Ongoing Support:
    Offer follow-up training and on-site or remote assistance, optimizing device usage and addressing any operational challenges.

    Share best practices and clinical insights to help customers achieve optimal outcomes with the device, fostering loyalty and long-term engagement.


    Feedback Collection:
    Gather customer feedback on product performance and share insights with the Product and Marketing teams for continuous improvement.

    Serve as the voice of the customer in internal discussions, providing insights that can inform product upgrades, or support materials.


    Technical Troubleshooting:
    Provide technical support and resolve issues promptly, minimizing downtime and enhancing user experience


    Collaboration:

    Work closely with Sales and Marketing by attending conferences, trade shows, and other events to demonstrate the device and engage directly with prospective users, providing expert technical insights.

    Qualifications/Skills Requirements

    Education:
    Bachelor of Optometry preferred.

    1-2 years previous experience as a Clinical Application Specialist
    Prior experience training on medical device equipment use and applications is an asset
    Proven presentation skills and success facilitating training and transferring knowledge
    Experience working with software for medical device applications.
    Knowledge of PACS, DICOM is an asset
    Basic technical skills with an ability to do routine troubleshooting and networking
    Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
    Flexibility to manage irregular travel schedule
    Ability to work with the multidisciplinary hospital team
    Proven strength in strong customer service skills and attention to detail
    Proven time management skills.
    Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills are required
