Description

1. Conceptualizedesign and develop automotive trim components and systems includingbut not limited to interior and exterior trims door panelsinstrument panels consoles and decorativeinserts.
2. Utilize ComputerAided Design (CAD)software (e.g. CATIA SolidWorks) to create 3D models assemblies anddetailed drawings of trim components.
3. Conductfeasibility studies and analysis to assess the manufacturabilityfunctionality and performance of designconcepts.
4. Collaborate with styling engineeringand manufacturing teams to translate design intent intomanufacturable components while ensuring compliance with regulatorystandards and customer requirements.
5. Generateengineering documentation including technical specificationsdrawings and bills of materials (BOM) to support prototype andproduction activities.
6. Conduct design reviewsand participate in crossfunctional team meetings to evaluate designprogress address technical challenges and implement designimprovements.
7. Support prototype buildactivities by providing engineering support troubleshooting designissues and coordinating design changes asnecessary.
8. Perform tolerance analysis FiniteElement Analysis (FEA) and simulation studies to optimize designsfor performance cost and weight targets.
9. Stayabreast of industry trends emerging technologies and advancementsin materials to drive innovation and continuous improvement in trimdesign.
10. Ensure compliance with company policiesprocedures and quality standards throughout the design anddevelopmentprocess
