    Volunteer Instructor Role

    As a Volunteer Instructor, you will play a vital role in teaching English Language Learning (ELL) courses and supporting our mission to make education universally available.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Commit approximately 15 hours per course per week.
    • Maintain regular communication with students and academic staff.
    • Ensure effective instruction and timely responsiveness to student inquiries.
    • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet learning objectives.
    • Collaborate with the Office of Academic Affairs to address course-related issues.
    • Monitor course progress and finalize grades by set deadlines.

    Essential Qualifications:

    • Subject matter expertise in ELL or related fields.
    • A master's degree with a Ph.D. preferred, but not required.
    • Master's degree with a TESOL certificate.
    • Experience in online teaching, although not necessary, is highly valued.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
