Key Responsibilities

• The SAP CPI Consultant at C2 level is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting integrations on SAP Cloud Integration Suite.
• The role demands strong technical skills in SAP CPI, API management, and cloud-based integration patterns, along with the ability to collaborate with functional and business teams to deliver robust and scalable integration solutions.
• Key Responsibilities 1. Integration Development Design Develop end-to‑end integrations using SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration) / SAP Integration Suite. Design and implement iFlows using various adapters (SOAP, REST, SFTP, IDoc, OData, JDBC, SuccessFactors, etc.). Perform mapping transformations (XML, JSON, XSLT, Groovy Scripts, JavaScript).
• Build real‑time and batch integrations across SAP and non‑SAP systems. 2. Solution Architecture Documentation Translate business requirements into technical integration designs.
• Prepare technical specifications, design documents, and mapping documents. Ensure integration architecture follows best practices and SAP guidelines.
• 3. Support Maintenance Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing integrations. Work on CPI message monitoring, error handling, and alerting configurations. Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of integration flows.
• 4. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with functional consultants (SD, MM, FI, HCM, SuccessFactors, Ariba, etc.). Coordinate with BASIS, security, and cloud teams for transport management, certificates, and connectivity (Cloud Connector, OAuth, API keys).
• 5. Quality Compliance Ensure adherence to coding standards, security protocols, and audit requirements.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support UAT cycles. Document release notes, deployment steps, and support guides. Technical Skills Required Strong hands‑on experience with SAP CPI / SAP Integration Suite.
• Expertise in: iFlow development Message mappings (XSLT, graphical, script-based) Groovy Scripting / JavaScript API management (Policies, API Proxies) Knowledge of: SAP BTP (Basic navigation, sub-accounts, spaces, roles) Cloud Connector setup troubleshooting SAP CI Content Packages Integration patterns (Synchronous/Asynchronous, Event-based integrations)
• Experience integrating with: SAP S/4HANA / ECC (IDoc, RFC, OData) SuccessFactors Ariba Concur Third‑party REST/SOAP systems Soft Skills Behavioral Competencies Strong communication and problem‑solving skills. Ability to analyze requirements and propose effective integration solutions. Proactive ownership and accountability. Ability to work in agile/scrum environments. Good team collaboration and mentoring abilities (expected at C2 level).
• Education Certifications (Preferred) B.Tech / MCA / Equivalent degree. SAP Certified Associate
• SAP Integration Suite / Cloud Integration (preferred). Knowledge of Integration Suite components:
• API Management, Event Mesh (added advantage). Performance Expectations at C2 Grade Deliver complex integration objects independently. Support junior developers and guide best practices.
• Own multiple integration tracks within a project. Should act as a bridge between the functional, basis, and cloud teams. Contribute to solution design discussions and improvement
