    Description

    Role Responsibilities

    Develop strategies, standards and protocols around process delivery and execution

    Strategy

  • Ensure systems and process documents are kept update to date and reviewed periodically as required.
  • Drive cost effectiveness in the Branch operating model and ensure maintenance of best practices for property and facility management.
  • Effective Implementation of the Operational Risk Framework
  • Establish OR standards/controls aligned to the Process Universe
  • Support business in minimizing operational risks and losses, and proactive identification of risks and concerns, including escalation to all relevant stakeholders
  • Timely mitigation of risks and resolution of issues including collaboration with all relevant stakeholder functions, and establishment of effective controls
  • Seamless execution and implementation of new Projects / Systems in SC Capital Responsible for ensuring adequate oversight over referral empanelment and Sales Governance Activities
  • Execution responsibility for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating financial crime risk, sanctions risk and reputational risks to the Group. Also, an awareness and understanding of the main risks facing the Group and play a critical role in managing them
  • Act as coordinator for various internal/external audits/reviews and liaise with various stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate information is provided.

  • To be the source of reference within the business in facilitating/promoting the understanding of compliance/regulatory requirements.
  • Identify knowledge gaps, facilitate development of training material, and arrange relevant business training on key Risk and Governance matters.
  • Coordinate and lead the identification, presentation and resolution of risk issues through entity level business risk forums (ERC) to ensure there is adequate governance, oversight and monitoring of risk.
  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values.Set appropriate tone and work in collaboration with External Partners and Internal stakeholders.

  • Liaison with IT and business team and ensure that system application and IT infra support is there
  • Help Launch and build process for new products.
  • Ensures adequate documentation and training on all new systems, processes, policies, procedures and controls
  • Understands & practices methods to sustain change.

    • Risk Management

  • Understands market practices, awareness of local regulations, group and business policies, business
  • Standard procedures and best practices
  • Establishes a performance culture around Risk Management using root cause analysis and corrective action planning as key elements of operational risk management
  • Timely escalation of all incidents to appropriate authorities as per reporting framework

    • Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
