The sales team organization for the Automotive business is aligned to the various business channels viz. Retail, Workshops (Franchise and Independent), Heavy Duty (Institutional, Building & Construction etc.) and OEM Development. Background: India has articulated an aggressive growth led WILG strategy. The growth plans of the three key spaces CT, MCO and PCO (that contribute to 70% of India business) are based on three key planks: distribution expansion, NPI /Product refresh & infield activations. Infield activations will positively impact dealer, consumer and influencer advocacy which have shown signs of deterioration in the recent past. A strong need is felt to address the influencer advocacy by having a focused team to attack 80 to 100 top markets in the country with world class product and benefit modules and bring back the glory of Castrol amongst the dealers, customers and influencers. This Role would be reporting to Sumantra Mukherjee Key accountabilities MAM (Market Activation Manager) would lead a team of Field Marketing representatives FMR’s (to be provided by Distributors). He would be responsible to generate pull/demand from consumers and influencers through activities in his basket of towns (5 to 6 Core Towns in a state). He will report into the Regional Manager- Retail for the State. Area Activation Approach: The MAM’s target audience will be mechanics, small fleet-owners, individual consumers and other influencers.
