6 Ways You Can Boost Your Creative Genuis

6 Ways You Can Boost Your Creative Genuis

da17a813.jpg

"What do I write about, next?"

"Will people resonate with the topic I am writing about?"

"Is this even relevant?"

"Umm...what would be a better word for say, blah?"

We hit these creativity blocks whenever we are writing or creating any sort of content.

The truth is creativity ain't easy. Some people are born with design and creativity in their blood, whilst others acquire it through learning and training.

Whatever the case, we have all been there. Writer's block. Creativity chakra blocked. Stuck on a word. Stuck on an idea. Or worse no idea, at all.

I have been there, too, and I have found my way out of it, as well.

From ZERO ideas to well over 7-8 topic and design ideas, every time I hit the wall. And today, I am going to share with you how to make that happen.

The first part to it is knowing IT IS POSSIBLE and being OPEN TO THE IDEA.

So, let's start.

Creativity needs space to manifest

Clear and open spaces are a must to boost creativity. This is the number one mantra to get your creativity boosted.
Contrary to popular notion, creativity cannot manifest in places which are disorganized, totally haywire, sloppy, and in some real need of cleaning.

And I am not only talking about the space you are working in; the person creating the content (writing or design) should also feel great inside-out.

In order to boost creativity, the first step would be:

Clear the Clutter

The moment you start cleaning up the spaces around you, starting from the desk where you have been typing away, to the room where your desk sits, and slowly working your way outwards to the other rooms one by one, you will see magic unfold.

Try to have your desk somewhere away from your bed or bedroom, altogether. Your study should be somewhere which opens up your mind, next to the window or an uncluttered corner.

If you have the tendency to get distracted by sounds or people moving about on the roads, then skip the window and make your study face a wall, a white wall, if you can. You can always decorate the white wall with colorful post-its to not only make it look alive but also keep important information, points to note, and to-do's, right in front of you, till it's done.

This not only boosts your creativity but also makes you a more efficient person. This is something I have done to my study, as well, and it brings you proven results.

How this step helps?

For creativity to manifest, you need to have an open mind. Open being the keyword here. This openness can only be achieved when you do not have an object of distraction lying every 6 inches for every inch of your step, inside your home/workspace.

It's simple, a clean home is a habitat for good things to take place. It boosts positivity, confidence, and ability to think clear. It might seem like a bit of a task, initially, but I promise you, you will indeed start seeing results almost immediately.
When you try this step and see the results, please do leave me a comment and let me know how it helped you. Be one of the gladiators to win this battle and share your experiences with your fellow gladiators to jump into the arena, as well.

Quick tip: Every morning when you wake up, make it a point to make your bed, almost immediately. Once you put in effort to make your bed, you will refrain from sliding into it and procrastinating your day's chores or even writing in your bed, as it might spoil your hard work. Thus, making you stay away from the sleep district.

Please do share the buzz if your found it helpful.

Thank you for your time!

Take a space as you have described and focus on a point five years from now. Project joy into the space and watch what folks are doing. Whats important whats not. Over in the corner of this space is you. Go and sit down beside yourself. Discuss the world after you have lived in it for five years. Their will be enough refined writing material that will feed off itself for the next year. Consider that 67% of the worlds population share major personality traits. So 67% of you thoughts will touch them in some way as you discuss a journey to the future. Great post. I do find that my work space reflects my mind. When its cluttered, so goes my space.

This is making order of chaos Proma 🐝 Nautiyal. ANtifragility is to accept chaos and make order of it. Your "weird" habit shows your high quality. I thank you for your good words about me. Million thanks. I believe that Harvey Lloyd will have his thoughts on this buzz.

True, magical spells often hold much more gravity than the usual mumbo-jumbo we perceive. Btw, Pascal Derrien your comment reminded me of the book (turned into a Nicole Kidman- Sandra Bullock movie) Practical Magic. :-)

Ali 🐝 Anani, Brand Ambassador @beBee Sir, when I was writing this buzz, you were on my mind. The regular discipline with you churn out excellent content on intriguing topics feels like God's gift, something which is truly intrinsic rather than acquired and of course your openness to knowledge and rich experience makes creativity more a part of you than a skill you possess. I enjoyed reading the different ways in which you find your creative ideas and will surely adopt them into my routine, too. It's always good to try out new things. I also agree with the point about creative ideas flowing in during a state of distraction and chaos. I have this weird habit. I cannot focus on a single thing and do it properly, till I am doing 2-3 things at the same time. I think this makes me put more focus on the primary work thus making me even more productive in the entire process.

This is an interesting buzz Proma 🐝 Nautiyal. I shall be honest and say I have different experiences. Distraction can creative ideas. However; when it comes to space I find myself producing ideas when I cover my head with a blanket and let my imagination travel without distraction. This might sound odd, but this is what I do when I look for inspiration. I have a writing pad next to me so that whenever an idea emerges I note it down. If this doesn't work I go to the kitchen and snip and over a cup of coffee I start day-dreaming. I leave it to others to judge the quality of my creative ideas, but this is how I produce them. What I find also useful is recording my thoughts on a mind map when suddenly I see connections between the "branching ideas". I find that the best ideas come to mind when I am not stressing my mind to find them. They just emerge without any planning or effort. While writing a buzz or reading a comment I sudden idea pops in my mind. I find creativity and planning may not be miscible.
