ARE WE IN THE VERGE OF EXTINCTION?

ARE WE IN THE VERGE OF EXTINCTION?

In a globe we exist

Like numerous creatures we struggle to desist

From being go in oblivion

Thus human civilization alone express that they are champion.

I wonder the constraints in recurrent blow

We continuously strive to combat to ensure our flow

Adaptation we truly learn

To express our entity with élan

Can we ignore that many failed to adapt

In the changing scenario they extinct in ignominious rapt?

Of course myriad succeeded to retain its continuity

Their instinct to combat the adversities substantiate their superiority

This is surely a vivid testimony

That changing phenomena trigger to unfold a new quality in symphony

Thus quality and quantity is a unique ploy of nature

Where a new quality always emerge out of synthesis in rapture!

Strategy is a devise being accrued by the survivors

Confronting the available ambiance, making it favorable as a benefactor

Perhaps not knowing, nature the only supreme actor

Who alone script the destiny, what an amazing grandeur!

Within us we possess a dichotomy

One for humanity, other to foster disaster and ignominy

One may be empowered to instill symphony

Other may have connivance to usher disharmony

How can we equate the devise of adaptation?

Claiming our supremacy by ignoring all apprehensions

If one may explore with ruinous design

How will other resist from ones enticing approach to malign?

Our planet itself is now in a threat

For few eccentric who intend to obliterate us out of their heinous trait

At present hour we need to give a clarion call

All sensible should conglomerate to save our planet from their pernicious protocol.

There is no
pillow so soft
as a clear
conscience.

Debasish Majumder Beautifully written Debasish - posing the questions on how long can the earth last, and how long can mankind last. Your flair for the word and life's big questions is unique.
Remarkable poem, Debasish Majumder! I can only echo what others have said: we will stand strong together.

You are the quickest poet writer I have known dear Debasish Majumder. As soon as we exchange comments you are able to write a poem. Only yesterday I exchanged a comment with you regarding adaptation. The other surprising fact is that many times you write scientific poetry (poetic science), which isn't easy. I wonder if you were a teacher if you would use poetry as a means of illustration. I don't write poetry, but I memorize quite a lot of various poems. I find them very handy sometimes during my lectures as they energize the attendees. Good for you, Debasish.
