HOW TO DECIPHER DESTINY? A CONUNDRUM!

HOW TO DECIPHER DESTINY? A CONUNDRUM!

Once I came across a story in my childhood days about how pernicious a monkey was who has been asked by two quarreling cats when they could not decide about their legitimate share of a cake and to settle the dispute between them, when they both were engaged at the same time to acquire it. Taking advantage of the situation as well the superior position of monkey being conferred by them, the monkey intervenes to make an amicable settlement between them and tactfully hidden his vile intention and expresses his eagerness to settle the dispute aptly by delivering justice to them, but remains busy in biting the cake with a pretext of making equal share. He thus brazenly consumed their coveted food as well trust. So monkey’s arbitrator’s role eventually brought disgrace to the arbitration mechanism where both party’s loyalty and trust being decimated.

The story entirely crafted by human’s imagination, but the hidden message is, you never know what actually lies in one’s mind as there is not yet any device being invented to understand human’s mind. We entirely have to guess and anticipate one’s role with an aspiration that it will usher betterment for mankind. The story also reveals not only a distrustful act of any individual, but perhaps the opportunism which one may allure for the sake of ephemeral gain and it may be perhaps difficult to restrain too. Precisely, when two parties entangled in war and seeking assistance of any third powerful party in order to settle any dispute peacefully, in most of the cases, third party either focused on its own benefit or rather act as a bias one which may serve its own interest and it too cannot resist the opportunity to exploit the confronting situation, keeping the problem remain unsettled for infinite time.

Now, the question is, do we human at all possess any mechanism to judge or anticipate the intention or the faculty of any such third party? Whatever devise we may adopt to maintain the neutrality or status quo, from the point of third party too, is it at all having the potential to restrict one from not being an opportunist one? I guess, there is no such neutral aspect at all exists. So to maintain a balance or status quo is always ephemeral and rather having the potential of developing further disagreement in the due course to worsen the situation.

It is like a never ending dispute relate to human proclivity where, third party’s intervention is inevitable and there lies the lacuna of making judgement regarding third’s party’s role and vision. A superior position in the human milieu is severely challenged for numerous occasions and surprising we are forced to accept the dictum of the third party, as the hierarchy module of the existing pyramid we often eulogized as the most effective tool to sort out the problem we are confronting with! Whether in any business organization or political organization, we tend to depend on third parties and vision which we consider to be a judicious one in terms of our expectation, as we ordinary people lack the foresightedness. Precisely, when we cannot gauge or equate human faculty out of our wit and intellect, we have to depend on our intuition, purely an abstract one, expecting a favorable and respectable solution out of the disagreement being cropped up from an available situation. But, the contradiction between two people or parties, having their own favorable desire according to their aspiration and definitely both cannot be satisfied at one go. Despite, we invite the third party to intervene almost helplessly. Presently there is gross erosion of values and ethics, precisely in the political domain, where leaders are equally treating themselves as entrepreneurs and sadly only mean business! Whether in a business organization or regarding statesmanship, we helplessly observe brazen display of disgraceful dispensation of their interests as a third party, who hardly cares about the mass apart from offering only mess to them, when they are supposed to play their role as a third party between two entangling parties, differences of opinion, and promote their own agenda and interests by virtue their emergence as a third party, and surprisingly leaders of these groups find enough accolades and acclaim!

I wonder, what is destiny! Even in a soccer game, when the both team failed to reach to a decisive result, they resort to third party for determining the fate of the game by taking shot as sudden death from the referee. He will make a toss and whoever will win will take the advantage of taking the shot at first. There also destiny plays the key role, as the winner party will get an added advantage psychologically to start with their wild journey!

Not at all having any disagree with the exquisite quality of any phenomenal prodigy, neither having any intention to disgrace the quality of any leader, I wonder whether destiny plays major role to facilitate one to become a leader or a distinct personality. Why there cannot be any replication of such rare prodigy such as Sir Newton, Einstein, Shakespeare, Aristotle and many?

I wonder why there is sheer crisis of values and ethics. Is it too lies on a country’s majority’s destiny where intolerance, inhuman activities and other weird nature manifests only to cause mayhem and severe threat to mankind? Having poor managers or statesmen are too lies on concern people’s destiny? I am clouded with sheer despondence! Is it too in my destiny? Monkeys exist and they will exist. I don’t want they should become an engender species. But will we continuously invite monkey to beckon our own jeopardy? Will we not learn any lesson or we least bother to learn any lesson? Are we also heading to become an endanger species in this planet?

Ah-ha...therein lies the rub: mediation between two warring factions must have the head to choose their arbitrator carefully. In business it's inevitably loaded. Same with family for the most part. In societal situations (traffic altercations etc)...it's up to a judge or the law to adjudicate. In the end, I'd probably chose the monkey over humans :) Anyhoo...cakes don't eat cake......and my neighbor has just arrived with a plate of FOOD - I take it all back!!

Debasish Majumder your fable is one that plays out each day both in reality and within media. Definitively there is moral to the monkeys position but the larger moral comes from the two cats. When we engage in a dispute it is our most vulnerable time. Whether as the monkey did or by pure natural acts we can suffer from a greater loss. Social and proffesional living is a fluid process whereby our senses need stay on line all the time. Beware the distraction of the cake.

The third party can be the bridge to solution or the bridge to total loss. Your monkey story metaphor dear Debasish Majumder is quite revealing. A 3rd party is trusted to serve the conflicting parties; unfortunately for greedy moderators it becomes an issue of securing self-interest and robbing others. As for intuition I depend on it when I have no way to predict or to show me the direction. I used my intuition to forecast the few of the world cup results. You may ask Chris \ud83d\udc1dR Guest how close my intuition was to reality. Intuition is the internal whisper telling me the direction. DO we have the intuition to forecast what a 3rd party intentions shall be?
