INTUITION, AN AMAZING INSTRUMENT OF SOLACE!

I am a practicing doctor in psychiatry and many people used to mock on me as a doctor for insane. I never heed to their remarks. Even when my friends used to crack pranks on me, I don’t bother it much because I know they equally respect me a lot when they share their mental constraints with me and take help of my advice to figure out their problems without any as such medicinal support.

I am in my mid-twenties and as a young practitioner; I did not get much support from my elders too. Yet, I am obsessed with my discipline and I am more obsessed with my life, which I consider as blessing, having the opportunity to interact with numerous people and try to understand their impediments which are hindering them, not to lead a normal life.

Suddenly, I myself one day became confused what actually the parameter to determine one as normal! How I will determine one as a normal faculty? I sometimes find, out of my practice that are termed as abnormal by the people in and around them are rather super normal!

One such incident I would like to share, where I confronted a girl while I was descending from the fifth floor of my flat, where I used to reside with my parents. One day, when it was evening and Sun is about to set, suddenly on my way, I found a girl of her early twenties too, craving for help, as she found her flat was not safe for her. When I encountered her, she told that perhaps the cooking gas cylinder was leaking and she was feeling utterly uncomfortable owing to immense malodors. I immediate responded to her helpless state of mind and entered to her room with all precautionary measures which instantly made her relaxed. Then I sat in her drawing room and after little conversation, I left the place as I had a hurry to attend my chamber.

After few days, when i was supposed to close my chamber, suddenly my attendant told me that a new patient appeared. I said to him, ‘Tell them to come inside.’ With much surprise I noticed a man entering my chamber accompanied by a girl, whom I met while I was working with the gas cylinder in her flat, owing to the leakage. I kept myself reticent. Her father said to me, ‘listen doctor, for the last few days I am observing my daughter is out of mind and utterly distracted while she is working.’ I said to him, ‘what is actually the problem, which is hindering her, not to perform any work properly?’ not confiding that I met her few days back on her flat. Her father said, ‘listen I have to work and majority of the day time I have to remain in my place of work. As she is staying alone in the house, I recently observed she is behaving in a weird fashion, though apparently outside people won’t be realized her anomaly. Her mother died when she was too young out of an accident, as the pressure cooker busted while she was in the kitchen. Since then I am extending my all effort to groom her and never allowed her to felt the absence of her mother at my level best. But, observing her anomalous recent trait, I am worried what actually store for me in future! She is sometimes telling that she met her would be husband recently and willing to reconcile with him soon. I could guess that, this is mere a dream of her early twenties, but I don’t know the remedy of such ailment. Always she seems to be out of mind and precisely for such absent mindedness; I am worried any untoward incident may not emerge. Recently she stopped visiting her college and distracted from her studies too. Would you please help me out from such fright which is eclipsing my mind and not giving me a little space of my own?’

After hearing his detail interpretation regarding her daughter, I said to him, ‘will you please allow me to talk with her alone?’ he said, ‘sure doctor. Why not? I am ready to deliver my utmost effort with a hope that she may quickly gain her former state of mind. You know doctor, my girl is extremely cute and intelligent and jolly too? But, surprising nowadays she became too reticent!’ then he left my chamber, keeping only his daughter alone. After her father left the chamber, I asked her, ‘what is your problem? Why you are behaving abnormally as far your father’s depiction? He is too worried about you. You can unhesitatingly express your distress. The last time when I met you in your flat, which I did not divulge to your dad deliberately, as I presumed, your dad than won’t be feel comfortable to share his experience. Now tell me please what is your present problem? As my last encountered with you reflected that you are absolutely perfect in terms of your mental state.’ She said, ‘on that time I only met my ma whom I dreamt of. I fall in love with him instantly and there was no reason why I felt obsessed to him. But, my intuition suggests, that he is the only man you crave to explore your rest of your life with sheer jubilation. I cannot there after restrain myself without thinking about him even for a single moment. Is it perhaps termed as the love in first sight? It was you and you’re extremely courteous in your behavior impressed me a lot. Will you marry me?’

I felt utterly flummoxed! I myself also felt that I may not able to live without her. Though we may have a brief time to exchange our views and gratification out of the services I rendered to her, when she was in distress, but my heat send a signal to her that she is my sweet heart and a perfect match to me, where I may attain sheer bliss! After all, I too lost my mother in my tender age and I could evidently comprehend her mental imbroglio. Finally, I took little time to reach to a conclusion, and finally I resort to my destiny, as I assume that she might the perfect match for me and by taking thus decision I may able to save her life as well bring perfect delight to her mindset! I just bet on my fate and accept the situation I am confronting with a hope with positive vibe.

After few moments, I called her dad to my chamber and I expressed my feelings for her. I told him that it was me who met her few days back when she was in huge distress owing to the leakage of her gas cylinder. Since then, she developed trust on me, aspiring that I am the perfect match for her and expecting I will surely marry her.

After hearing the entire episode and my candid emphasis, her father too felt elated and with heartiest admiration for me he quickly arranged our nuptial. My father too, after noticing her, as well interacting with her father, did not hesitate to arrange four hands to tie up.

Moment my wife developed a perception that as I helped her to get rid of the impending danger while I helped her to come out of any mess owing to the leakage of gas cylinder, she only knew to express her gratitude to tying not with me and spend the rest of her life with her. Her strong belief out of a situation she confronted enabled her to jump to a conclusion that I am her savior and I will protect her through her life. Her intuition guided her to take such firm decision!

On contrary, my intuition suggests too that she is the perfect match for me and too need her to enjoy rest of my life devoid of any hassles and even professional hazards.

Today, I am celebrating my twentieth anniversary of my marriage. I am having two children, one, a son of eighteen years of age, and a daughter, who is sixteen years of age. Today, I unhesitatingly emphasized that my intuition too responsible for my happiness as I am too happy now. Intuition, which is an internal call, unlike the call being influenced by external conditions, an element too clearly reveals that happiness too is an internal affair and it is only responsible for a perpetual bliss! I don’t know that I too may be termed as insane by others for my abrupt decision and being criticized by many who termed my mental state as being swayed and guided by mere emotions, but, in reality I enjoy motion out of its prevalence and infuse me with due momentum!
